  1. Bob, I love the Vokey wedges and have a few but without having a full fitting how can I best choose the proper lie and bounce for my game in Michigan conditions?

I have hit the T-100 Pitching wedge along with the Vokey SM8 46 pitching wedge. I hit the T-100 a couple yards farther but the Vokey had a tighter dispersion.

Can you explain the science causing the difference between the T-100 vs the Vokey pitching wedge?

    Thanks, the SM8's are beautiful.
  3. Aloha, Love your wedges!
I have used your wedges for many years. I'm currently using your SM 7, 54* and 60* wedges.
Can you tell me the advantages of switching out my stock gap and pitching wedges and carrying 4 Vokey wedges? Mahalo!
  4. For the SM8, what made you make changes from the SM7? Was the change because of the data you received, better material/manufacturing process, or better technology?

This is a two parter, hope you have time to hit them both :) How many strokes do you think the average player could save if they were properly fit for wedges? How many wedges would you think the average golf fanatic like me should carry in the bag? Thanks Bob and Titleist keep up the good work!

A wedge is probably the most trusted club in the bag. How often would you recommend replacing this club? What is the most important characteristic to look for in a good wedge ?
  7. Hey Bob! Simple question- Why use a Vokey club?
  8. I started playing the Spin Mill wedge thru SM7’s and they have been a game changer. I like 8 degree bounce on my 50 and 54 but would like to see it in the 58? I’m left handed and I play a lot shots with an open face.
Thanks for the opportunity to ask this question.

    Mr. Hokey,
I noticed you've gone back to a one piece design as opposed to the two piece, separate face design. What led you to revert? Cost? Simplicity? Availability of new materials? Performance?
    Thanks for all you do!

  10. I play muni's often where there are hard pan dirt lies or very tight grass over hard substrate when hitting short approach shots.

Sand bunkers tend to be firm with a thin layer of sand over clay or hard dirt.

I have been told lower bounce is most effective with a rounded leading edge in these conditions with less loft. Playing the ball back in your stance.

What is your formula and technique for these common conditions?

Mr Vokey: Last spring you fitted me for the SM7, 58.12D, with the NS PRO 950GH R shaft in it and I have very good results from it. I really appreciate the assistance I received from you and your team. What advantage(s) would there be for me to move up a 58 SM8 wedge? At 73 years of age, 58* is plenty of loft for me. Thanks for your time and help last spring.
  12. I've been playing the Vokey wedges from the Spin Mill through the SM 7's. Any chance that you would offer 50, 54 and 58 with a 8 degree bounce with the same grind?

I’m interested in the moisture technology I think it’s hydrophobic materials. Has any been implemented in the SM8?
  14. Currently play SM6 and SM7’s. Love them and have them dialed in for my game. Will I notice a significant difference in the SM8’s, besides new grooves?
  15. Mr. Vokey, why is the V grind not part of the regular offerings?
  16. What makes the SM8 better than the SM6 series?

  17. Hey Bob!!

Being an avid titleist wedge player one thing I have never been able to do is go the wedge works route. This time around, for the SM8 I will finally pull the trigger. Can you elaborate on what the benefits of getting hand ground wedges would be & also going with the raw finish? I play extended length in my wedges and have always played swing weight D7. Given I’d like to get them a tad bit more in line with my irons, would you suggest I keep them the way they are as opposed to drilling out weight through wedge works? I’m on the fence about this idea

Thanks for reading! Your the man
  18. Your wedges are the best in the world! Backed by the #1 golf company and professionally tour used technology, but why is it important to want to fill your bag with score saving clubs ( wedges) other than your putter or Half swing pitching wedge? Is there a confidence in knowing a specific yardage and consistency with your wedges?

    Mr. Vokey,

After tremendous success of the SM7 what was your 1 main goal or key inspiration during the design process of the SM8?

If there is time for a second question, could you explain how important the correct shaft is when fitting the SM8? It seems that shaft options for wedges are growing considerably when in years past a stock steel shaft was the status quo.

Wish you continued success in dominating the market share for years to come!

    Best,

    Dustin
