    I currently hit Titleist AVX. I have a swing speed of 95/driver and 85-90 on the irons. Is AVX good for me??

    I normally play the Pro V1x and seem to have some higher spin numbers when using the Trackman (according to my fitter). He recommended trying out the left dash Pro V1x. Will the left dash allow for some more distance and possibly help keep it in the short grass more consistently? I know they are a limited availability.

    I have a 115mph driver swing speed with my TS3 driver.

    I love this question, so thanks for asking it, Anthony. Much like everyone in this thread, I love the game of golf and have for a long time. Golf has played a significant role in my life and has really helped shape the person I am today. So, when I got the opportunity to come and work for Titleist, it was truly a dream come true. Titleist is a company filled with passionate people that care deeply about the game and the golfers that trust our products. It is truly a privilege to work here. And, in my particular role, I am lucky enough to get to work with dedicated golfers like yourself day in and day out with the goal of helping them play their best and enjoy the game even more. How can you possibly beat that?

    Mike, I am a single digit handicap with a shallow sweeping swing style. Driver swing speed is 100-105, but launch the ball very very high. I currently play the 2019 ProV1 yellow. Carry distance is solid, but with no roll I am normally hitting longer irons into greens. I have played the previous versions of the AVX and really liked the driver trajectory, but sacrificed spin into the greens. With the new AVX having more greenside spin how much durability will be lost?

    Thanks for the question! The short answer is that the durability of the new AVX is exactly the same as the prior version. So, that should be a non-issue. The new AVX does have much improved short game spin and control, so hopefully you will now have a golf ball that delivers everything you are looking for!

    Great question. This is a question that comes up quite frequently. Should a golfer change their golf ball for warmer weather and cooler weather? The short answer is no. Our recommendation is that you play the same golf ball regardless of weather conditions. How far (or not far) you hit the golf ball in colder weather has more to do with you (being stiffer, having on more layers, etc.) than your golf ball. Stick with the ball that you are familiar with, regardless of the weather, to play your best.

    Hi, what ball would you recommend for my wife who is an 17 index, doesn’t hit it very far but wants to have her own ball? She’s not a big fan of pink balls and hates the term “ladies golf ball”. Thanks.

    Not another question.....I think you've got enough so far, many that I'm interested in hearing the answers to. I've found that the ProV1x seems to be best for my game. I don't switch much, unless something I read from your answers here sounds like it's worth trying.

    I'd just say thanks to all the folks who make all the Titleist balls and for that matter equipment that helps me play my best.

    Thanks for the question, Richard. We believe we have the right amount of golf balls to meet all of the performance needs and preferences that golfers have.

    If we are strictly talking about performance, we know that every golfer is different and has their own unique swing with their own unique set of launch conditions. That is why we have three different premium performance options with Pro V1, Pro V1x, and AVX. These models are differentiated by flight, spin, and feel. We believe that the differences between these models allows us to deliver the best possible performance for players of widely varied launch conditions.

    As for the other models in our line (Tour Soft, Velocity, and TruFeel), we understand that there are golfers out there that care about performance but are also influenced by various preferences (color, feel, price, etc.) when making their golf ball selection. Tour Soft, Velocity, and TruFeel meet the various preferences players have while all delivering best-in-class performance and quality.

    My #1 factor is control and stopping power on what we call the "scoring shots" - approach shots and short game shots. Every golf ball in the Titlest line is long, so don't worry about distance. Plus, you are only hitting 14 drivers (max) per round. The scoring shots are what account for the majority of shots played by every golfer in a round, regardless of ability. This is why we prioritize fitting players into golf balls that will optimize their performance on the scoring shots.

    What is the methodology that Titleist uses to develop a new ball based on the Prov1 and Prov1x? Do you vary molecular weight of the polymer blend for the single and double cores? Is AI used in the development process? What about design of experiments incorporating MW and dimple design, sizes and geometric shapes of the individual dimples and dimple sizes? Do you have an intern program with North Eastern University or with MIT? I went on the ball plant 3 tour and it seems like there is a tremendous amount of development being the scenes. There is a reason Titleist is so far ahead in ball performance.

    Why don’t you show what the compression of each ball is or provide some sort of metric for swing speed?

    It would actually have very little value.

    Across the Titleist ball range, there is but 3-6 yards difference between the balls off the driver.

    The ball should be selected for feel, starting at the green and working back to the tee.

    If you think about it, every shot you hit during a round is struck with a different swing speed. It would be impossible to pick a ball using swing speed as the determining factor. Given most shots are played from inside 100 yards, that is where you get the most from your ball selection. If you need help stopping the ball, the ProV1x is a good selection. It flys the highest and spins the most. If you think your ball flight is too high, try the ProV1. Great feel, slightly less spin than the x. What to hit is even lower with a bit less long game spin, AVX might be worth a try.

    I have a BIG question...Union Green...How did this decision come to b?.

    I really can't imagine looking down at my golf ball and seeing something other that TITLEIST....Curious minds would like to know what drove this decision?

    I used to play the NXT and NXT Tour models and loved them. What would be your choice to replace them? I am currently playing ProV1, but I am not sure that I get the same game from them. Might just be in my head also.

    Have you tried the Tour Soft? It is a great feeling value ball. You can't go wrong with the ProV1, as long as it fits what you expect from a ball. You won't find much distance difference between the balls in the Titleist lineup, the difference comes down to spin and cover feel.

    Why is there no (new) sidestamping line on the new AVX? There is on the ProV1/ProV1X. Seems as though Titleist doesnt value the AVX as much as the others even though they are all 3 the same price. Explain?

    Thanks for the question, Mac. There is new packaging and a new sidestamp for our new AVX, which just launched in January. More important than the fancy new packaging and sidestamp, is the fact that the performance of the new version of AVX is awesome. Our R&D team made some incredible advancements with this golf ball, increasing the size of the core, thinning out the casing layer and cover, and improving the golf ball's aerodynamics. All in all, you get more distance, enhanced short game performance, and a softer feel compared to the prior generation of AVX.

    Also, I'd just like to say that whether it is Pro V1/Pro V1x or TruFeel, our team puts the same effort into constantly improving each model. Every time we introduce a golf ball, it can't just be new, it must be better. Not only better than what was in our line before, but better than everything else out there in the marketplace. We put all of our products through their paces to ensure that this is the case. We want every golfer that chooses to play a Titleist golf ball to know they are playing the best possible ball in every segment of the market.

    I am 71 years old and just had my first Hole in One and I used a Titleist TruFeel. This ball flies very straight, high and feels very soft.

    EXP-01 where would this ball be placed in the Titleist tower of choices? Have been bouncing back and
    forth from ProVx & the new ball being tested. Feel it's close to Pro V's??????
