PGA TOUR | Wyndham Championship
Kevin Kisner, playing a Pro V1x golf ball, birdied the second hole of a six-man playoff to claim his fourth-career PGA TOUR victory.
- Kisner, who began the final round four shots back of the lead, posted his second-consecutive 4-under 66 Sunday, with birdies on Nos. 16 and 17, to join the playoff.
- On the second extra hole, Kisner hit his Pro V1x to 3 feet from 161 yards and rolled in the putt on Sedgefield’s 18th for his first TOUR win since 2019.
- “I was fortunate enough to have a perfect number into 18 and hit a really good shot and have one of those putts you really want to have to win the golf tournament,” said Kisner, 37, who jumped to No. 29 in the FedExCup standings.
- He finished the week 12th in Strokes Gained: Approach (+3.858), hitting 81% of greens in regulation (T8).
- Kisner was one of five Titleist golf ball players to make the overtime session, along with Titleist Brand Ambassadors Roger Sloan (Pro V1x) and Adam Scott (Pro V1), as well as Kevin Na (Pro V1x) and Branden Grace (Pro V1x).
KISNER ON HIS NEW PRO V1x
Earlier this season, Kevin Kisner made the switch to the 2021 Pro V1x golf ball.
“The new X is a little bit higher spin around the greens,” he said. “I feel like I can have more control of my irons with more spin and definitely be able to get the ball up and down more short-sided when I play with the Pro V1x.”
HADLEY’S BREAKTHROUGH HOLE-IN-ONE
- Titleist Brand Ambassador Chesson Hadley secured his PGA TOUR card for next season thanks to a Sunday 8-under 62 and the first hole-in-one of his life.
- On the tee at Sedgefield’s 160-yard par-3 16th, his seventh hole of the day, Hadley pulled his 620 MB 9-iron and sent his Pro V1x golf ball flying toward the flagstick.
- It landed about 15 feet past the hole and spun back into the cup.
- The ace propelled Hadley to an opening-nine 29 and ultimately a tournament best-62 that moved him from 132nd in the FedExCup standings entering the week to No. 125, earning him the final spot in this week’s FedExCup Playoffs opener and a 2021-22 PGA TOUR card.
LPGA | Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open
Ryann O’Toole, playing a Pro V1x golf ball, posted a flawless 8-under 64 Sunday in Scotland to claim her first LPGA victory.
- O’Toole made eight birdies on the day, including three in her opening four holes, en route to a three-shot victory at Dunbarnie Links.
- O’Toole didn’t make a bogey, while hitting 13 of 14 fairways and all 18 greens in regulation.
- “I can’t even describe it. I’ve been obviously working my whole life for this and dreaming about it since I was a kid…,” said O’Toole, 34. “I still feel like I’m in shock and the tears are going to come later when things die down. I’m excited and happy. The hours and grind and heartache this sport brings, the constant travel, for this moment, I hope it only happens again and again.”
- O’Toole led a 1-through-4 finish for Titleist golf ball players.
- Playing a Pro V1x Left Dash golf ball, Lydia Ko closed with a course-record 63 to tie for second.
- Ariya Jutanugarn (Pro V1) finished another shot back in fourth.
AMATEUR | U.S. Amateur Championship
At the 2021 U.S. Amateur, more of the game’s top amateur golfers – including the eventual champion – trusted their performance to Titleist than any other brand.
- Of the 312 players that competed at Oakmont Country Club, Titleist was the top choice across every major equipment category: golf balls, drivers, fairway metals, hybrids, utility irons, iron sets, wedges and putters.
- Titleist is the only brand to have achieved this feat on any level of competitive golf.
- This season on the PGA TOUR, Titleist has topped every major equipment category four times, and 23 times since the start of the 2019 calendar year.
- Titleist also swept the major equipment categories at this summer’s U.S. Junior Championship, and earlier this year at the 48th Walker Cup Match.
- A total of 245 players teed up a Titleist Pro V1, Pro V1x or Pro V1x Left Dash golf ball, more than six times the nearest competitor (36);
- Titleist was the most played driver (110 players), with 84% of the Titleist drivers in play being TSi models. Titleist TSi3 was the overwhelming most played driver model at the event (78), double the nearest competitive model (39);
- Titleist irons were in the bags of 120 players – with T100 models as the field favorites – compared to 60 for the nearest competitor;
- There were more than 500 Vokey Design gap, sand and lob wedges in play at the U.S. Amateur (507), more than three times the nearest competitor (143); and
- Scotty Cameron putters were in the bags of 86 players – with Newport and Newport 2 models the favorites among Scotty Cameron players – compared to 68 for the nearest competitor.
- The U.S. Amateur champion – who rallied from 3 down with 9 holes to play to win 2 and 1 – played a Pro V1x Left Dash golf ball, TSi3 8.0° driver, TS3 15.0° fairway, NEW T200 (3) and 718 AP2 (4-PW) irons and Vokey Design SM8 50°, 54°, 60° wedges.
- Titleist was also the field favorite at last week’s U.S. Women’s Amateur in golf balls, drivers, fairway metals, hybrids, utility irons, iron sets and wedges.
- The Women’s Am champ, who played the same Pro V1 golf ball for her last five matches, posted a 2-and-1 victory in an all-Titleist golf ball final to complete an improbable run at Westchester Country Club, having qualified for match play as the No. 63 seed after a 12-for-2 playoff.

Calum Hill claimed his maiden European Tour victory, trusting his Pro V1x golf ball to a one-shot victory at London Golf Club.

- Hill, 26, is the second Scottish winner in two weeks on the European Tour, following Titleist Brand Ambassador Grant Forrest's breakthrough win last week at Fairmont St Andrews.

- Skinns, 39, one-putted his final four holes to close in 4-under 67 and win by one shot. Victory was Skinns’ only route to finishing in the KFT’s Top 25, capping an incredible month of golf.
- He was 82nd on the point list as he teed off in the first round of the TPC Colorado Open on July 15.
- He played his next 20 rounds in 88 under par, shooting only one round in the 70’s (71) and posting 14 rounds of 68 or better.
- Over those five events, Skinns finished T2-T6-T16-T8-1. His victory Sunday jumped him from No. 46 to 22nd on the final list.
