Hi Andy,
Thanks for the question.
People will bend their wedges weak or strong to help fill the gaps towards the bottom of their bag. However, when you bend a wedge, you do change the bounce. For every degree a wedge is bent strong, the bounce is reduced by one. Vice versa for weakening the loft of a wedge.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Bubba for the quick response. Is there a rule of thumb used for the gap between wedges or is getting fitted for each wedge the true way to determine what the gap should be ?
Getting fit is always best, but typically a yardage gap of 10-12 yards is ideal. This usually equates to a loft gap of 4 degrees. But remember, this is all player dependent.

This is spot on. Its PLAYER DEPENDENT. I switched my set up lat year to a 4 wedge set up. Yes I played the best golf Ive ever played. Yes i got my first tournament win (in a playoff), but my proximity to the pin was horrendous. Went back to a 3 wedge set up (47, 54, 59) and proximity has gotten way better and my birdies/round has gone up 1 more per round over the last 10 rounds. Yes i am putting better, but being closer to the hole helps.

Hey Andy, I have all 3 of my Vokey wedges bent 2 deg. strong since I prefer my wedges to have a little less bounce due to the nature of my swing. Do a wedge fitting with a Titleist certified fitter and he/she will help you with any recommended bends as well as gaping and grind. If you want to go big, you can also go out to CA and do the Vokey fitting experience which I hear is amazing.

I've been confused about an element this for a while -- So thanks Andy for bringing up the topic.
So Vokey wedges are cast -- correct? I've always thought that cast couldn't be bent. So can I have my my SM5's adjusted/bent after I have them?

The Vokeys can be bent up to two degrees flat or upright. If you would like us to bend them, have your shop set that up for you. Just an FYI.....you can custom order your Vokeys and we will build them and bend them prior to shipping and there is no upcharge.
You can also send in your wedges to the Vokey WedgeWorks shop for bending and other amazing customization options including a bunch of different shafts (I love the TrueTemper Dynamic Gold Tour Black Onyx) as well as different grip and shaft band options. The other benefit is you're having Vokey do the work on your Vokey wedges. In my opinion, it's well worth the money.
Thanks Ski & Tee. That's exactly the shaft I have in my wedges now. Awesome ball flight.
Thanks Cathi - that's what I wanted to know!
