I do not use a Driver but have the TS3 3 wood and then the 917F2 7 wood in 21 degree set up the same on the hozel. Luckily I was able to source the same Kurokage 50g shaft to match the TS3, I could not be happier. The F2 does exactly what you expect, is great out of the rough and fairway bunkers as well as being a good little chipper around the greens. Sadly, it has nearly made my Hybrid redundant. I have got to echo Luke's comment and stress that proper fitting is the only way forward if you want to get the best from a club.

To perhaps illustrate this best, my son is a Pro and has previously had the same shaft in driver and 3 wood - at his last fitting at St Ives, now has different shafts...

Always best to check as you may buy and not like.

I was fitted for my TS2 and was told for other woods it's not as simple as the same shaft, for example, you don't swing a 3 wood at the same speed at a driver, also delivery of the face can be very different also, best get fitted but you ain't gonna get fitted for any 4/5 year old club.

Alternatively fire Roddy Spence a DM on twitter, he's the fitter for the area, he should be able to tell you when the next fitting in the area is.

Just remember any fitting coming up will be for the TS models and those shafts will be totally different from the 915F models. TS shafts are Kuro Kage/Hazardous Smoke/Tensei Blue and Even Flow white, where the 915F came in Diamana red/blue and the Alidla Rogue.

If it’s going to make a massive difference then I would defo upgrade my 917 driver and get a fairway aswell.......... the Mrs will kill me,but new titleist’s are worth a beating

Get a fitting... My TS fairways both have the same KuroKage shaft but the 15degree has a 1/2inch shorter shaft whereas the 18 degree is standard... I have Project X Evenflow in Driver.
