I'm headed to Scotland with 7 buddies in late April. Playing Carnoustie, North Beewick, Kingbarnes, and Crail.

Looking for recommendations of places to check out while we are there. Restaurants, pubs, sight seeing etc.

Take your FootJoy base layers, sweaters and rain gear. The pubs at Carnoustie and Kingsbarns are pretty nice. Kingsbarns is only about 10 minutes outside of St Andrews so take the drive down the road. Carnoustie is really in the middle of nowhere so there isn't much else there. Getting there is interesting, when you think you are lost and are heading under what looks like a very low, very narrow bridge you are there!

One of the truly delightful golf experiences in that corner of the golf world is the lovely re-creation of a private golf course on a private estate run by the Scottish National Trust. Play is only with provided hickory sticks and the ball is of the same vintage as used by Bobby Jones.

It is well worth both the time and complements the great courses in the area. If nothing else, utilizing the equipment of 100 years past; will deepen your appreciation for what Titleist has accomplished with today's clubs and balls!

Kingarrock is truly a special experience, especially for a group outing.

If at all possible try to add Royal Dornoch into your rotation. IMO the best course in Scotland.
