In October I'm flying down to LA to play Riviera. I need a new travel bag but don't want to spend a lot of money since I don't fly with my clubs very often. Any recommendations?

I would recommend finding one of the companies that ships your clubs to your destination for you. I've heard from many trusty resources that have done this and they say that it's easy and more secure. I really hope this helped and good luck to you, John!

Club Glove Last Travel Bag WITH a Stiff Arm!

I am a definite believer in the Club Gloves as well as the Stiff Arm. Knowing that you don't travel much and are looking to keep funds low provided you have some time I would: 1. buy a Stiff Arm (regardless) 2. look into cost of www.Shipsticks.com they provide boxes and ship through UPS. You could have the clubs sent to hotel, course, etc. 3. after playing, have the clubs shipped back to your home or office. I have found that the cost of shipping the clubs was comparable with paying the baggage fees on the airlines, but often a bit safer. You just need to check the shipping times to ensure that the clubs will arrive on time. Also, ship sticks is less expensive than FedEx. I have NO affiliation with Ship Sticks. I'm just a happy customer who has used them a few times. Steve

Even if you don't fly with your clubs often. I would still recommend any of the C Glve bags with Stiff Arm.
When you do fly with them you will know they are safe. I have made several trips and it's the best investment I made for travel.

I second the Club Glove recommendation, including the stiff arm. Not inexpensive, but neither are your clubs.

I have known places (retail golf shops and pro shops) in the past to actually rent out travel bags as strange it sounds. I would agree that club glove is the best and is have seen them used by far more tour pros that any other bag.

Great idea!
I ended up going with the CG travel bag. I needed to get one for a Symetra Tour player I sponsor that had our brands logo on it, so I just ordered two. I'm sure it will work great.

Spend the cash and get the CG with stiff arm in any color other than black.....

Why skip the black? i got black with the Texas orange handles - looks awesome!
Because I've seen so many black ones in the baggage claim and if you're late off the plane your bags gone. I know color won't stop a theft, but it sure makes spotting your bag easier.

Here is one that I use and it has been in a few countries and across the US. Has taken great care of my clubs and does not resemble everyone's. .

I couldn't agree with this more. Even taking theft out of the equation, there is nothing worse than sorting through a dozen black travel bags to find yours. Plus it also will increase the chance of someone accidentally grabbing the wrong one.

I've had a green Burstproof since 1996. It has finally gave out. I would recommend going up one to the last bag because it will give you a little more room for clothes and shoes, and definitely not black. A few years ago, I had to chase down a fellow that took my green Burstproof off the carousel. He was quite embarrassed. I just bought a yellow last bag. I don't think that there will be any mistakes.
