My dad and I played at TPC Rivers Bend in the spring and would be open to playing again in the fall in the Columbus area. Murfield would be an ideal course although I am sure it will most likely be too expensive
Anyone interested in a TT Ohio Outing this fall (October) at TPC Riversbend just off of I-71 on the NE side of Cincinnati?
Dan HYulee, FL
I would be interested in a Fall TT Ohio Outing at TPC Riversbend for sure!!
While Saturdays are ok, there are lots of kid activities in september for anyone with children under 18 potentially...however it increases attendance lets go for it! We could always aim for a Friday afternoon if that helped?? Regardless, I am looking forward to it!

I would like another outing, and either a Friday afternoon or Saturday would very likely work for me. I think Columbus would be a good fit for getting the most to attend.
Nick EColumbus, OH
Columbus is definitely a good place to have an event. Obviously with Ohio State football games in the fall that makes it difficult to plan an event. What about a bye week? (Sept. 20 and Oct. 11) Columbus has some solid public courses and fantastic private courses... Can we get on to Muirfield or Scioto Country Club? I'll keep dreaming.

I think where ever we go we should consider courses that are places most of us have not played to make the event more special however Scioto can be challenging to gain entry. I think many of us know members so if that is a preferred location I could make some calls...it is probably one of the better options. Any other ideas???

Scioto is nice but like Chris said will take some work to gain entry for a group without a member. Muirfield will carry a huge price tag and won't get many to sign on for about $400 per round guest fee. The Golf Club or Pinnacle Golf Club may be two of the nicest courses that are more realistic to achieve access and for more of a reasonable price. Anyone in the area have great contacts at either of these two courses?
I know a member at scioto but he says a member needs to play with each group...thoughts?
Sean NCoshocton, OH
What about a less exclusive courses like Worthington Hills or Columbus Country Club? Although I'd still rather do Scioto or The Golf Club since it's not likely we can pull off Muirfield
Did he say it would be possible to have the event? Like members willing to play with us? Did he mention the cost per round? Any connections at The Golf Club?
I have one connection at The Golf Club, so I can check into that as well. However, based upon the responses I would like to try and keep the green fees under $150...The Golf Club and Scioto will definitely in that range or even possibly slightly higher. No question that Longaberger is a great course but is far enough east of columbus that western part of the state might prefer a shorter drive so maybe keeping the course in columbus city area is better. Cast your vote on a course that is in the Columbus city area or suburbs and would have green fees under $150 complete. I am open to all suggestions...if you really want to go less expensive (like $15)and we have even hosted Scotty Cameron Events there with Scotty in the past, is Tablerock Golf Club just north of Columbus. Just a thought...
My top 2 courses would be Scioto or The Golf Club due to they are prestigious courses. I'm with you Chris and keeping the fees in the $150 range would be good to stay around there or lower. The Golf Club may be a little less strict and more open to letting guests on the course. I know Pinnacle is nice but don't know any members there. I could call the Course and see what our options are. I know "lesser" if you will known private courses that may be much more willing to get us out there and less expensive. Originally I thought the group wanted higher level courses so I thought that is what we were gearing towards. Let me know...
Yeah I would prefer to play Scioto or The Golf Club
Ok, I will ask around and see what I can come up with!
HmgcgolferSylvania, OH
and come to Toledo too!
Just talked with Scioto...looking like $250 approx. per person for golf...while I like the course, not that much. Has anyone played Cooks Creek Golf Couse just south of Columbus? It was ranked by Golf Week as one of the top 10 public courses in Ohio?
Yeah I'm not paying $250 for Scioto. Muirfield yes, Scioto no. Haven't played Cooks Creek, heard good things
Is there any news on location?

Hey Sean,
Sorry for the delay as August has been a little busy so far. I did speak with the Pro at Hickory Hills Golf Club in Grove City and he is on board for helping us put something together. This is a very nice course from some friends I have talked to and will be much upgraded from anything public in the Columbus area. He said he would hook us up with a great greens fee deal and to top it all off has been a Titleist staffer for about 25 years himself. He did mention they have some events on Saturdays in the fall but Sundays would be a great option for them as well. A great weekend just to throw something out there would be September 20th or 21st. Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks,
Dan
That weekend should be OK with me, I will ask Mike if he hasn't seen this before the weekend. I'd prefer a Saturday, and could only play on a Sunday if we tee'd off by 10 am, as I work nites and would have to be back to get a bit of sleep before heading into work.

Just stumbled upon this thread - great! I'm up in the Toledo area and would like to join the group if my schedule permits - sounds great!
After discussing with a few TT Members we have narrowed down a possible course and some dates. Our course that we are looking at is Hickory HIlls Golf Club in Grove City. It is a great course and they are offering us a great price around $50-$60 for greens fees. Weekends we are looking at would be moved to October since we received slow interest for the month of September The dates we are looking for would be:
10-3 Friday
10-10 Friday
10-11 Saturday
10-24 Friday
10-25 Saturday
Reply back and lets get something official on the books with Hickory Hills ASAP.

Luke,
10-11 is still in the running and looks like we could do after 12 pm that day. If you have facebook, search TT Ohio and there is a tab to vote on a time that works best for everyone. Should be a great course for a great price!! Let me know.
Anyone in the area for TT Ohio thinking about putting some serious thought to picking a date for TT Ohio outing this spring? I'm looking to try to recruit more Titleist lovers to the outing this year just need time to get people notice in advance. Hope all is well for everyone and hopefully we can get together soon as I'm getting pumped as weather is starting to break!!!
Anyone thinking about a fall outing in ohio?

Abby, if you like, I just posted a question to see if anyone from our TT Community would like to participate in a TT Ohio Fall Fling event in October at TPC Riversbend on the NE Side of Cincinnati... FWIW, Chris

Dan - If you are interested in the Toledo area I am a member at Belmont Country Club in Perrysburg and would be willing to set up an event. Belmont is an Arthur Hills design that opened in 1968. It is arguably the 2nd best club in the Toledo area with Inverness being the best. We have lowered our guest fee for September to $60 including cart.
Here's a link to Belmont -http://thebelmontcountryclub.com/
Let me know if interested and I can get some dates that the course is available.
Hi, Denis- As a fellow Toledo area resident, I'd love to play at Belmont. We just moved here about a year ago (Sylvania) and are getting familiar with the area. Let me know if we could potentially put something together.
Thank you-
Jason
