First Major for new TSR Drivers. First Major win for new TSR Drivers.
It’s been just five weeks since new TSR drivers made their Tour debut, and the new models have found their way to the top of the leaderboard and in the bags of the world’s best.

Most notably – the bag of Champion Golfer of the Year Cameron Smith, who captured last week’s Open Championship with a new TSR3 model in the bag.
And despite seeing great success with his TSi3 driver, which he carded two wins with this year alone, Cam made the switch to a new TSR driver leading up to his final chance at earning a Major title in 2022.
“Cam loves everything that TSR has brought to the table in terms of ball speed and consistency,” said J.J. Van Wezenbeeck, Titleist’s Director of Player Promotions. “He’s done a bunch of testing with both the TSR2 and TSR3 models, but when it comes to windy conditions, he really likes the feeling of being able to work the ball more. Going with TSR3 this week in St. Andrews not only helped him flatten his trajectory, it gave him that added workability versus the higher-MOI TSR2, providing him the versatility to shape shots and take advantage of the different winds on different holes.”
We were on site for Cam’s initial TSR Driver fitting with Van Wezenbeeck last month, where the two spent time dialing in his new gamer. Cam’s initial feedback? Well, you’ll have to watch for yourself.
