Walker Cup--Seminole

This was a great weekend if you are a golf fan. It was nice that GC televised the Walker Cup matches. Had to go back and forth with the WF Championship telecast and the the Walker Cup.

Amazing golf course. I think Ben Hogan use to play that course to get in shape and get ready for the Masters.

Cool that we get to see it on TV. There was a charity match last year at Seminole that was televised. I thought the Walker Cup was more fun to watch on that course. So much drama on 17 and 18.

What a great course and match. The heavy underdogs from GBI gave the USA all they could handle but the singles matches on Sunday proved to much for them. The USA was heavily loaded with top ranked amateurs having 6 of the top ten while GBI highest ranked player was #12. I personally love match play because you have the ability to stay in the match. Congratulations to both teams on a well played match and to the USA for retaining the Cup and winning the match. I am sure George H Walker was looking down with a smile on Sunday. Amateur golf is all about the spirit and love of the game. Expect to see a number of the exceptional young men on the tour in upcoming events.

I hope heaven is Seminole Golf Course.

And I hope I make it there haha.
