    In my profession, loyalty is the corner piece of a puzzle. Throughout the years I’ve been pretty loyal to Titleist, definitely with drivers, woods, and wedges. I listen to a Pro fit me into another brand in 2018.

    Well, this year it’s back to Titleist Irons. I go get fitted, pay the fitting fee of $100, then immediately order the irons through my golf club. I did this 8 weeks before a golf trip with 23 other players thinking I would have my equipment in time.

    Well, T200s still on back order (: Oh, and the golf bag I ordered two weeks before that, still on back order and for sure I wont have that in time.

    I’m so loyal that I thought about buying a lighter carry bag just to have a new bag for the trip too although the new mid-staff bag is what’s on back order. But I dont have deep pockets.

    Here’s the catch, my three other buddies ordered the other brands after me and they are already playing with their custom fitted equipment.

    So, I’ll play a tournament this upcoming weekend and go on the week long golf trip the following week with some jenky clubs.

    Hard to stay loyal, but that’s what I’ll do I guess

    I guess i don't understand why loyalty is tied to the ability to supply a product as fast as another company? Did someone promise you a specific date and then refuse to meet it or are you just frustrated that high demand and backordered components are impacting Titleist's ability to quickly turn all orders? How good is the loyalty of the pro that took your $100? Is that the guy you need to be working with to see what he can do to support you? "Cancel Culture" is the current name for this love/hate mentality where there is little room for cooperation and understanding. To me, the true sign of loyalty is perseverance through tribulations. I hope you get your products soon and are happy with their performance. Good luck with your tournament and many more to come.

    Cancel Culture? Really? Let’s keep this topic where it belongs......golf. Unfortunately everyone is in the same boat right now. Back orders are the norm from every manufacturer. I can say without hesitation that Titleist is better than any manufacturer with regards to turn time and quality control. I know it’s disheartening, but just be a touch patient and I’m betting you will be satisfied when your new clubs arrive.

    Sorry to hear the problems you are having. I hate to sound like a broken record but many manufacturers have had issues with their supply chains because of COVID related delays. It probably doesn't help that the golf industry has experienced a resurgence of sorts because of the many "stay at home" orders which only allowed for outdoor activities, golf being one of them. For me, in 2020, I got fitted and ordered a TSi driver and fairway wood. The items arrived in about a month and half which from my understanding was pretty quick. I suspect as we get closer to a sense of normalcy, the delays you are experiencing should be very rare.

    Both great points. But as large as Titleist is, is limited quantity a good excuse? We’ve been dealing with COVID for a year now, I’m sure their experts are able to navigate the conditions to supply the demand. Some times I think we give well named corporations the benefit of the doubt based on the credibility in the industry.

    I dont blame the golf pro, he ordered the items immediately. I can understand a delay more so on the specialized clubs, but a golf bag. Do they really not have the capital to keep items in stock. Maybe the regulations on foreign purchases are a contributing factor as well.

    I just feel like a company like Titleist can do better for all their customers, not necessarily my situation. I jope They don’t have the attitude of if you don’t like it go elsewhere.

    Maybe just a little vent too

    I know your pain, I have had two 12 day trips to Europe postponed due to border restrictions. One from 2020 - 2021, then the 2021 - was just postponed until next year. When companies deal with overseas companies and restrictions it causes all of us headaches. If Titleist cannot get the components and products from overseas, it is not an issue they can resolve easily during this time. Seems to reason that supply and demand has depleted the ability to fill some of their orders and yes it has had to do with the pandemic. As a true brand loyalist, I would figure that you would understand some of the reasons for the long delays. There have been a few posts regarding this issue on this site and the answer appears seems to be the same. Delays from overseas. Being you ordered thru you club, they should have been able to follow up on the delays for you, if you contacted them. They have the order number and can keep you posted. With respect and thanks for being a Titleist loyalist. Don't let what is going on in the world now question your loyalty.

    I deal with this everyday and i get it, however there may be some options your club hasnt explored. I ordered a set of clubs for a customer and the backorder was due to the grip - 6 week estimate turned into 2 weeks just by having them shipped gripless and we put the grips on from our stock. Most companies are 4 to 16 weeks right now. You will likely have them for several years, a little patience is required until things get back to normal.

    Great suggestion on the shipping the order gripless. In my industry we look at bottlenecks in a process and see how we can improve our lead time. Often times, eliminating or modifying the bottleneck once identified can speed up the process. It takes a team member a willingness to take the time to make it happen. Sadly, some people just go through the process and accept the outcome "as is" without investigating how they can make it better for the customer.

    I've been reading more and more posts about order time issues, and it was happening well before the Covid. I keep my clubs about 4 years so end up skipping every other new production. Last irons ordered were 718 AP1 the last year of production, and the TS2 driver, fairway, hybrid the first year of production, and all orders were through retail but received direct from Carlsbad. Longest wait was 2 weeks. I think it might be a regional issue.

    Probably not regional as much as stock versus custom builds. Titleist probably does more "build to your order" than any other company. They could probably mass produce more standard sets and fill stores and you would be told to buy off the shelf or they can continue to fit and customize most orders to suite the player. That is my preference, even if that means problems with the supply chain during crazy times like this past year. Hopefully the supply chain normalizes soon and we see less impact to customizations.

    Considering that golf has been one of the only things the general public has been able to do in the last year due to COVID, we are seeing more and more people take up the game. More and more people invest in new, and better equipment as they are playing more. This puts a strain on supply. As previous posts mentioned, it's usually a smaller component of the whole, like a grip or weight or shaft... Same with the bags.

    Hang in there, your clubs and bag will arrive soon and you will forget all about the slow turn time.

    My friend was fitted in Arizona for a set 0f T200s two weeks ago. Ordered them from the PGA store and received them in a week. Don't know why yours didn't get there. What a huge huge shame you can't have them for your trip.

    Can’t you just rent nice/non-jenky clubs while you wait for your new ones? I did that when I was on my honeymoon and played at the Plantation Course at Kapalua.

    I am in an industry where we are plagued by constant back orders and shipping delays. One of the biggest delays right now is physically getting product on a boat or plane to get it shipped out to customers, let alone raw materials. But this unfortunately is out new normal. It is unfortunate that you won't be able to take your new sticks with you on your trip, but consider yourself blessed and extremely fortunate you get to take such a trip. It could be a ton worse.
