Does anyone know if Scotty have or ever will do magnetic head covers for the blades?

My buddy has a png Ansr and the magnetic cover was just so much nicer than the Velcro .

This question has come up on here in years past. The members of this community are loyalists like yourself and cannot speak for Scotty.

That is a question that you would need to address with Cameron customer support at:

To my knowledge they’re only produced with Velcro closures

I don't think they exist. A lot like the spotted Rainbow colored unicorn

He hasn’t, and he won’t. I’ve always assumed he has an agreement or contract with AM&E to use those - what I would consider - cheap headcovers.

Reasons to use a cover other than a Cameron:
    1. He has some of the weaker designs in todays market.
    2. Not having a Cameron headcover poking out of your bag will draw less attention to it.
    3. Other manufacturers are using higher quality materials and construction in their covers. I’m a big fan of the quality of EP Headcovers. Give them a peek when you have an opportunity.

He does have an exclusive with AM&E. They make a headcover with the magnets but Scotty chooses not use those, only their Velcro. I have no issues with AM&E headcovers. They make a number of headcovers for golf events and pro shops throughout the US. Custom headcovers are expensive and can run over $100 regardless of the manufacturer and it is a competitive market. I have a number of different manufacturers, which are leather and work fine. Guess it all boils down to choices. Know his collector headcover sell out in minutes to his club members and on eBay for ridiculous dollars. Supply and demand says they are a winner. Velcro or not.

Anyone have any ideas where I can get a "replica" headcover for my Concept X putter? I agree on many of the points Kaizen made above, especially about drawing attention to it. Only problem I've found is that these putters are unique in shape and design...down to the headcover. Any suggestions would be great!

I do agree of the quality. after feeling my friends png anser headcover it was significantly nicer.
I still love the designs of the SC headcovers however.

People have converted these headcovers to include magnets through a tailor/boot repair/seamstress as well as a DYI project. I'm not that handy, but I have taken mine to a boot repair show and they have done amazing work.
I prefer thee magnet over the velcro as it doesn't scratch the putter as it goes in and out of the headcover. This is especially important to me as all of my Scotty's have a black finish that would wear over time.

Good points Andrew.. A cobbler will do it for less than $30, well thats what I got charged years ago. Plus magnets make for easy pick-ups!

Kaizen and DAK, he has made covers with magnets, Ive seen them in person. He just hasn't made them for the masses!

He wants to keep them traditional. So do not see them being done in the near future. Also his headcovers are the most counterfeited on the market. Go figure.
  18. I have seen velcro magnets online for Scotty covers. They are magnets that attach to the velcro on the cover (like a conversion kit) allowing you to then use the Scotty cover as a magnet cover. I have not tried them. I use a cover from a bucket list course I have played in place of my Scotty cover.
