    Hello. I have a Dual Balance Scotty Cameron that has been out of my bag for a while. I would like to go back to it but with the Dual Balance weight removed so it’s like a normal SC just without the Dual Balance. Does anyone know what this involves? Just a new grip or do I need to replace the shaft as well? I have asked my local golf shop but they weren’t sure. Really appreciate if anyone can tell me before I cut the grip off and take a look.     Hey Luke,

    I wanted the opposite of what you are trying to do, but it is definitely doable. I got my 38” Dual Balance shortened to a 34.5” at a local Golf Galaxy. They shortened it and put the weight back in the shaft. All you need is a new grip. Hope this helps! DD

    I have my dual balance weight removed, no problem. When you remove the grip it is a weight in the butt of the shaft. You can then just install a new grip and you are all set!

    You can also do this same procedure through the SC Custom Shop.
