Super Stroke Grip

Sean, you can't go wrong with a Super Stroke. I swapped out the Dancing Cameron Cord grip on my Newport 2 Mid-Slant for a Super Stroke Slim 3.0 last year and made a ton of putts, especially from 8 feet and in. You will immediately notice a change in the feel/stability of your putter and the pressure of your grip. With that said, the X7M is a mallet putter so you'll need to take that into consideration due to the weight of the club head. At one point Super Stroke had a tool on their website which would categorize grips based on your putter type and stroke type. From what I recall, the larger diameter grips (i.e. Fatso) were typically suggested for heavier mallet putters. Hope this help.

SS Mid Slim 2 however you can have the SC Matador Grip it came with replaced and just add 2-3 layers of grip tape underneath the lower half of the grip and it will be not tapered as much...

I guess I going against a good majority. I tried it and did not like the feel. I just prefer the Winn Midsize tapered grips. Those Winns are lighter and I like the weight in the head of the club. As in life, it is all about choices. My Winn works real well for me.

The obvious choice would be the SuperStroke Plus, which also comes in a 50 gr. counter weight option. If you go for this then please share info on the fitting/regrip process (pictures?) Looking to do this modification myself. If others have tried/done this, then please let us know of your lessons identified. Would love a Scotty DB grib that was a bit thicker.
