  1. It was a slow day, took 15 holes for the fourball ahead of us to sneak our pair through.

For some reason, there always seems to be more pressure teeing off to jump a group. This was amplified by the fact that the fourball was parked up left of the green, waving us through and awaiting our tee shots.

With pin center left, the play was to land left of the pin and let the green feed the hole.

Not often plans workout, but the golf gods must’ve been on my side as my ball sailed 150m to land and find its way 6m down to the bottom of the cup.

The kicker is that the green is elevated, so the short is blind. All I heard was a cheer! I thought it was close until I realised the single digit in the air symbolised a 1 not the middle finger.

Walking up to an applause with a humble nod and wave. I collected my ball and snapped a photo with the flag before racing to 17 to tee off, going as triple-par to close out the round before hitting the clubhouse to celebrate.
