  1. At Sheperd's Crook in Zion, IL on Sept 25, 2024 I was able to finally achieve my first Hole-In-One after playing golf for nearly 47 years. The shot came on the #16 hole which has an elevated tee, the distance that day was 109 yards to the flagstick. As is customary at Sheperd's, there was a breeze. That day, the wind direction was blowing from right to left. The pin was tucked in the back left corner of the green. Using a Vokey SM10 48 deg pitching wedge at about 85%, I struck my ProV1 well and the ball flight started directly in line with the pin. In flight, the wind pushed the ball slightly left of the flag. The ball landed on the green four paces beyond the hole and one pace left of it. The slight tilt of the putting surface from back to front and left to right, along with exceptional backspin from the ProV1, sent the ball towards the flagstick. All I could think about was that the ball was going to get pretty close to the hole. As any true golfer does, I kept a close eye on the ball to follow where the shot would end up. To my surprise, I witnessed the ball disappear! After pacing to the right on the tee to ensure the ball wasn't hiding behind the stick, I announced to the group," I think it's in the hole!". What a great feeling!!!
