It was a picture perfect Colorado day. I was playing as the guest of a friend who had invited me out to play and the two of us were playing match play. As we pulled up to the par 3 17th, the match was all square with two to play. Bob hit first and stuck is ball within kick-in birdie range from the elevated tee box. It was looking like a near certainty that he was going to go 1-up with 1 hole to play. I was between clubs but opted for the longer of the two, pitching wedge. I hit a nice crisp shot and from the elevated tee box it seemed to hang in the air forever. "Too long?" I wondered aloud as the ball was nearing impact. It landed past the hole about 6 yards and then spun back toward the hole, rolling in with perfect pace. Let's go ProV1! We all went ballistic jumping around the tee box.
