On May 30th, 2024 myself and 8 of my friends travels to Arizona for a guys golf trip. On Saturday, June 1st we played 36 holes at Grayhawk with our first round being on the Talon course. Playing a 2v2v2v2 scramble, we come up to hole 11 with the pin at about 145 yards from the Terra Cotta/Silver tee combo and our opponents tee off first. First ball lands about 2ft from the pin and we all paused in amazement. Seeing that shot I think to myself as I approach the tee box, “I’m gonna put my ball inside of his.” As I make contact with my ball I say to myself, “that felt really good.” The ball land past the pin on a backstop and the ball begins to trickle down and make its say towards the hole. We all froze and watched it as it rolls and all I could say is, “it’s gonna be inside of yours.” Seconds later we don’t see the ball anymore, standing there stunned, my friend yells out, “it went in!!!” In disbelief we drive up and proceed to sprint to the hole with my phone in hand recording my way up to the hole and sure enough it was in. Needles to say, I won that closest to the pin hole.
