ive seen protracer vids of the pros hitting their drivers and it looks like the ball is flying like an iron. i know they hit up on it but wit their drivers having 8.5 lofts and x stiff shafts, how is this possible?

i think there are way more variables than loft and shaft flex. Ball position would be one, and wrist release would be another. Ball fitting also would be very important.

They are inhuman!!!!!!!! seriously!!!!!!!!!!! these guys have massive amounts of clubheadspeed and they kill it right in the middle of the face if they didn't have the low lofts they probably would hit it higher!

The trajectory that pros hit the ball with their driver is generally higher than most amateur holders because of 2 main things. They are angle of attack and swing speed.
With the pros averaging in the 110-115 range for swing speed this allows them to generate more spin/lift on the golf ball. The faster the ball goes on the same launch angle the higher it will go.
Another main reason is the way they are fit to their clubs. Not every player out there has an 8.5* driver a lot of them play with more loft. I believe Adam Scott uses a 10.5 or has in the past.

Changing shaft and clubhead characteristics is a fitting tool. Yes a softer flex shaft will give you a little higher launch, and more loft will give you more backspin.
When comparing pros ball flight to ours you must consider that the clubhead is moving 10-20+ mph faster and they tend to hit the center of the face. That means the ball is moving faster, which means it takes less backspin to generate the same lift. But since they are hitting the ball with better contact and a faster moving clubhead, they are generating more spin.
You should also notice their ball is higher, farther down range.

i main reason is they stay behind the ball!!! look at a pic of a pro hitting at tee shot at imapct. see where his chest is facing and where the buttons on his shirt are facing also. the pros left arm pit is even with the ball the club head is at impact and his right arm is at right angles to the club head. the best way to picture this is a reversed k position!!! get a full lenght mirror and practice this position.
