What is your best tip for driving ?
ksprecherScarborough, NY
I tell people to swing above the ball to round out the swing. This helps prevent people from popping up and slicing. Most people make a practice swing and hit the ground. Why would you want to hit the ground when the ball is 2-3" above the ground?

That's funny because I was a caddie for a french pro in South of France and when he was about to take a drive he would hit the ground. He hit the ball really well even by doing this.
That's pretty good. But Tour Players are super talented. Plus, drop kick always go straight.

Don't drink! And keep both hands on the wheel.
Actually that last part is true. For me, focusing on constant grip pressure, and I don't like either hand to dominate.

Do not over-swing. There are too many things that can go wrong with any golf swing, then add in the fact that you are trying to crush it farther than tour pros. The driver has the least loft and thus, less centrifugal force is generated than most other clubs. That will enhance the opportunity for the ball to slice or hook. By not over-swinging, you will hopefully lessen the chance of having the club out of sync with your swing, and hopefully your result will be better! Good luck!

Make sure you turn with your shoulders in the backswing and followthrough. Your belt buckle should be facing down the fairway at the finish. Hold the balance at the finish.
