It all starts with your posture at address. You have to be in a very athletic stance, weight balanced front to back and side-to-side.
During your swing, focus on maintaining your knee bend (your 'sit') until after impact. Start by practicing this at half-speed and then working your way up to full-speed.
Thanks heaps! ill be sure to try that next time !!

Staff AmbassadorDubai,
Hi Jack- a very complex question!! I agree that you must focus on your starting posture. I would also advise having a thorough screening from a TPI Certified golf or fitness professional as losses of posture are some of the most typical signs of physical limitations in the golf swing. Check out www.mytpi.com for a list of Porfessionals in your area.

Hi Jack,
I concur completely with the recommendation to consider working with a TPI professional. As I have gotten older, my body strength, in particular my core muscle group (glutes, abdomen, last, etc.) have lost a bit of their strength, weakening my set up.
This is the foundation upon which we build our swing and so I have started working with a TPI certified fitness instructor and a coach to improve my flexibility and my strength.
I started this work over a year ago and can say that it has helped me tremendously. I have increased my flexibility significantly, helping with full shoulder turn, better hip turn, etc. My strength has also improved significantly as well, and I am now able to "engage" the glutes, and similar core muscles to promote a more stable set up/foundation for my swing. As a result, it has helped improve my ball striking to be more consistent and has also helped me pick up some yardage/distance as well.
So, in short, this has been my experience and I wholeheartedly recommend trying the TPI route.
All the best, D.
