ANY HANDY TIPS FOR HOW BEST TO CHIP AND PITCH OUT OF 2-3 INCH BERMUDA ROUGH.
ANYWHERE FRON 25 TO 75 YARDS

from experience...
first of all have to be able to spot out the ball.
then depending on how the lie is there are a variety of things you can do.
for me if the ball is really down, nestled into the rough I tend to take a 60 degree wedge and open the club face.
from there I take a couple of practice swings to get the feel of how the rough reacts to the club head. being in deep rough the harder you'd want to swing i.e. power control, as if you were in the bunker. along with the adjusted power you can adjust the club head whether it maybe a little more open or closed depending on the distance of the shot.
lastly, do not slow down swing at impact or even before, or the grass will grab the hosel, then ending up with shanks, chunks, blades etc.
hope this help a bit :)

I think the keys to getting out of bermuda rough are to grip the club a little firmer in your left hand and just try and keep the club face square. Obviously around the greens you are not going to get any spin so play for it. Good luck.
THANX CUYS. I THINK I DO BOTH THINGS WRONG.
DON'T GRIP THE CLUB TIGHTER AND DO NOT EXCELERATE THROUGH THE BALL COMPLETELY.
THANX AGAIN FROM AN OLD CODGER--LOL
