  1. Looking for wedge gapping on new T150 irons. The 44° Pw is throwing me for a loop. I currently carry 50, 54, 58°. Considering buying T100 Pw (46°), so I can keep my current wedge setup. Thoughts?

just learn how to choke down on the 44° to make up the distance gap.

Basically what I do. I had a 50° in the bag and never used it unless I was 115yds out. So I dropped it out of the bag and added a 5W to go with my 3i. I just choke down on my 46° Vokey to get 115 yds now. Been 3 months and haven't missed it once.

I, personally, like 4° gaps between wedges. Could you do 48, 52, 56 & 60? It would take a bit of time to get used to that setup though.

I also play T150 and moved to a 48 instead of the 50 for a gap and kept the 54 & 58 on the top end. If anything, I like the 48 a bit more than a 50 now as I get better results in swinging more under control than trying to jump on a 50 for that little extra yardage.
  5. I carried the same wedge setup as you which worked great for my previous T100 set. You are right that it gets trickier with the T150's. I had the T150's all bent a degree weak. You could also opt to bend the 50 a degree strong. I did that for a while.

I later decided to swap out the Vokey 50 for a T100 gap wedge (50) since I rarely use a gap wedge around the greens. That gapping seems to be working well as the T100 50 degree seems to pack a little more of a punch than the 50 degree Vokey. In addition, you could also consider bending just your PW a degree weak to close the gap.
  6. I have the T150's (6 iron through 48 degree wedge) and love them. I went with the 48 degree gap wedge in the T150 model. I then rounded out my set-up with the SM10's in 52 F grind, 56 S grind and 60 M grind. This set up worked best for me and was recommended for me at TPI with the Chris Bang during my full iron and wedge fitting back in May of this year. This moved me from the 45, 50, 54, 58 degree set up I was using prior in PXG. I am loving the Titleist set-up much more and there isn't a situation inside of 135 yards I can't conquer.

If a wedge fitting or new wedges are not in the cards for you, I would work on learning how to take a little off the PW in the T150 to hit lesser yardages with it. A six degree gap isn't idea, but it's manageable. Save up for the wedge fitting a learn about what the different grinds can do to help your game! It's been a game changer for me around the greens.

    Cheers,

  7. thanks, I do plan on a wedge fitting in the next couple of weeks.

I have the 150's and I did 60,56,50 and 46 in SM10 wedges. With doing this I had to eliminate a club at the top so I got rid of my hybrid (3 iron) because the courses I play are generally short and I needed that 46 degree distance as you do. So I just have a driver and 3 wood and go to 4 iron. Hope this helps!

It would still be an uneven gap, but maybe consider the 48° GW in the T150, and do away with your 50°. Your gap would then be 44, 48, 54, 58. Same ending numbers. Just the gap between your GW and SW would be 6°. When I get my set, I'm going to do the Vokey in 52.8 and 56.14 to go with the T150 set.
  10. An easy suggestion for you would be to have your 50* bent to 49* and your 54* bent to 53* and keep your 58* the same. The is gives you a constant 5* difference in your wedge gaps.

Close, but not quite. Bending the 50 to 49 and the 54 to 53 gives 4 degrees difference between the two wedges, not 5.

What I've done is go with Vokey SM 10s: 48 bent to 49, 54 as is, and 60 bent to 59. This kept the gaps at 5 degrees between all three wedges and allows me to cover the yardages I normally use these clubs for. The last (60 bent to 59) was a change from my SM 9's which had a 58 bent to 59. The Titleist fitter when I was fit for the SM 10's recommended going to the 60 and bending it to 59 as it maintains more of the original bounce that way. It's all dependent, though, on the bounces you choose/need for the soil/sand/turf you play most often.
  13. What about replacing the set pitching wedge with an SM10 46? I recently did that and I’m never going back. More consistent with the Vokey 46 and I did not loose any yardage from my set pitching wedge.
  14. I’ve been struggling with this for some time. Originally had my PW bent to 45 with Vokey’s at 50, 54, 58. I love my Project X LS shafts in my irons, which Vokey does not offer. Ended up ordering a T150 48 bent to 49. So now working with 45, 49, 54, 58.

I know the rack wedges do not offer the Project X shafts. I thought any Titleist iron or wedge can be ordered with any Titleist offered iron shaft. Can anyone confirm that this is still true?
