T200 Irons- Question About Replacement

    Hi there. Awhile back, my aunt bought me a set of the 2nd generation T200 irons. I was going to trade up to get a different set with a little more forgiveness through 2nd Swing Golf, and I was told by them that my clubs were not authentic and they confiscated the clubs, which I understand, but I'm sure my aunt didn't know they were copies and I did not know. Is there anything Team Titleist can do for me in this situation? I'm a brand guy, and I love my Titleist equipment. Let me know, thank you!

    I didn’t know they could confiscate personal property. I get the concept, not the action. I’m not a lawyer on what happens with forgeries.

    Your best bet is to check with where your Aunt purchased the set. eBay supposedly will work to recover from misleading products. Certainly the seller promoted the products as authentic Titleist.

    If she bought them off the internet through a “garage” retailer it gets a little murky to chase down a refund, especially without the clubs to return. Titleist and/or 2nd swing should cooperate to help you get a refund.

    If the merchant was simply an overseas scamming operation with a US based website and shipping into the US, Titleist would want to know more to shut them down. However, the likelihood of any recovery will be almost nil.
