  1. Hello, everyone! I had read back in May that new cb's/mb's would be coming out in August... is that true?

I've been wanting to get blades but still saving up for them and just waiting to see if a new one will come out.

    Thank you!

I am not sure where you would have read that as it would have to be pure speculation. Titleist is always very quiet about any releases until an official news posting from them occurs. I would expect “tour seeding” in advance just like the last generation of irons and woods given that so many pros play blades. All I have seen to this point are one-off specialty irons made for JT and Webb Simpson.

Still just rumors if/when a new version will be released.

Some points to ponder. Solid forged heads can only be improved to a small degree. If you made a CB with a hollow body and added tungsten to improve performance, Titleist would just label it a T100…. Last I checked the price of the 620 irons is the same as when they were released. I’d be willing to bet a 625 line to be more likely to start at $225 a club. You might have to save longer and potentially wait to at least next year to enjoy them.

Titleist has done one-off sets for a limited number of pros for MB clubs. I wouldn’t be surprised if the next release would all be custom built with offset and bounce options in the $500+ range. There just isn’t a huge market for pure forged blades. Purists may argue this thought but no one other than the most serious golfers will do better with blades. Even with pros, only a minority still use blades exclusively.

Not too sure if they’re going to be releasing a new line as their T100’s are basically the newest line of CB’s. I recently got the 620 MB’s and as far as I know that is their latest model of a true blade. They’re the best irons I have ever played, surprisingly forgiving with a slight miss hit and the workability is flawless.

  5. I know! I've hit my coach's 620's at x stiff, and they are amazing!
