Looking for some pointers on improving ball striking with Driver.

Recently I have been striking the ball low on the face and towards the toe.

Looking for suggestions on how I can improve the location of the strike.

    9.0 in D3 position.

    Cheers, Dr. K

  2. One drill that has really helped me with hitting the centre of the club face has been purposely hitting it off the toe and heel. If I'm struggling with heel strikes, I would spend time at the range trying to hit toe strikes and vice versa. I also like to use foot spray to see how far offline Im hitting it from the centre. Looks like you have a good feel of where you are hitting the ball though.

What's your playing length of the driver? Most tour players use drivers that are 44.75" to 45" in length, because center strikes go further. Very few people, especially amateurs, see any benefit from drivers at "standard" length. Too long of club will often cause strikes near the bottom of the face.

Hey buddy. You may be standing slightly too far away. Not unusual to creep a little back over time. Try grounding your club with the ball near the hosel when taking your stance. Of course, try this on the range, not the first tee. :) Miss seeing you out there. Hopefully I run into you before next spring's outing. You and Jack take care and good golf ahead.

Always have full extension? Any shortening of the swing arc will do this. If this is consistent even with a validated full swing, add 1/4 inch to your tee and stand an inch or so closer to the ball.
