  1. I received an email today saying that the new GT woods are being released on tour today. I am curious if anyone has heard any news on the new GT’s? Are they staying with metal or has Titleist gone the direction of carbon?

Pictures show it is still titanium.
Of all drivers, the vast majority sold are still titanium. Titleist won’t be jumping into carbon fiber just to match TM. If/when they can get both better performance and better stability they may make the switch. From a factory tour, all vendors in the Carlsbad area are testing each other’s clubs. From flattening to thinning faces, Titleist believes the military titanium is still a better material.
  5. Saw the photos and look amazing. I am always impressed how Titleist can improve in the previous model and still keep the traditional Titleist look. I know what I’m asking Santa for this year

If my TSR3 breaks and I send it in for a new head, will they send me a GT3?

Not right now. There will be some leftover stock that will be used on warranty issues for a while. Eventually the TSR warranties will have run out but if one is still valid and no replacement is available, I believe you will be given a credit that will then allow you to pay any difference between the two. Obvious destruction to try and upgrade will likely result in voiding the warranty and you will be out of luck for both.

    Mr. Dale,
Have gone from the TSR 3 to the TSi2 and just swapped the Mitsubishi 50gr Kuru shaft.
Question: Will the Kuru Kage shaft blend or be compatible for the GT2?

The GT line will continue to use the standard surefit adaptors so any older shafts with the adaptor will be interchangeable. That said, advancements in shafts and newer options will always lead me to experimenting with all available during a new driver fitting instead of purchasing the club with whatever shaft is in the store and just changing out with my old one.
  10. I’m really pumped to try these out.
  11. Will there be a 7 metal in the Gt fairway range?

I know this probably won't happen, but a GT3 7wood. That would be awesome!

The GT2 and GT3 fairways will be offered in various degrees just like the TSR's were. They don't really identify as 4,5,7 woods anymore, just whatever loft degrees fill the gaps in your long game.
