U505 vs T300

I own multiple versions of both using different lofts, shafts etc... it will come down to what YOU are most comfortable with and have the best mis-hits...

If you do not want a hybrid then you are in the home stretch between the two clubs...if you cant hit both then I would suggest starting with the U505...

I was in a similar set up and went with a U505 3. After working with it for a bit I have it to where it perfectly fills the void between the 3wd and 5i. If I get on it it'll go 230 off a tee or 225 from the fairway but it's also very easy to back it off down to the 190range.

Took a bit of time to get used to working in the yardage variances but really really love it and the more I play with it the more I love it.

Devin, I'd consider the U505 3-iron vs the T300 4-iron due to both being 20 degrees. If your T300 is stock loft, the U505 4-iron would probably be just about the same yardage as your 5-iron. I have the 2021 version of the U505 and I'd personally recommend the T300 if you're hitting the irons well. The T300s are great. I don't think you would add anything going to the U505. I'd say the T300 will probably give you slightly higher flight and that's about all the difference you would see. I guess it comes down to which one you prefer the look of at address.

I picked up a U505 2i this year and love it. I needed something between my 4i (195-205) and my 3w (240-255), and this thing fit the bill. If I step on it it'll reach 240, but sits comfortably in the 215-225 range. I love it off the tee if I have to put a ball in play and my driver is misbehaving - it goes where I want it to. I sometimes struggle with it on uneven lies due to the length, but for the most part I can hit missiles with it. I'd recommend giving it a shot and seeing if it works for your game - I'm in the same handicap range as you, currently sitting at 12.8 and have a pretty fast swing speed.
