    Why Get Custom Fit Wedges?

    Every swing is unique and requires the right tools — and nothing does more to improve your play like fresh wedges, especially when those wedges are fit specifically for your game.

    Great wedge play comes from three things - Shot Versatility, Distance and Trajectory Control and Maximum Spin. Getting fit not only dials in your flighting, gapping, and grinds, but it also adds a little more versatility and green-grabbing spin to the bag.

    PRECISE DISTANCE GAPS

    Partial wedge shots are difficult to control even for the best players in the world. Most players benefit from carrying four wedges, which leads to tighter distance gaps and more full swings. Vokey recommends 4° - 6° of loft separation between your wedges, resulting in 10-15 yards.

    SHOT VERSATILITY

    Each wedge in your bag must have a purpose. Adding one high-bounce and one mid-bounce will create more set versatility and improve your shotmaking for various lies and turf conditions.

    I'm scheduled for Thursday, the 7th with my local Titleist fitter. Since I've done irons recently with him, I expect a terrific experience going through the SM 10s as well.

    54-10S bent to 52
    58 high and low bounce (58-14K and 60-04L bent to 58*

    I fared better with the S grind for long bunker shots vs 50-08F and also pitching. This has worked over 3 years now.

    Have been favoring K grind since 2018. Usually played with 12* bounce (60-14K bent to 58 between 2019-2021 and 58-14K bent to 56 up until recently).

    I played SM4 54-11M, 58-06L and 64-07T between 2013-2017. Couldn't quite get SM5 to work right. SM6 50-08F, 60-12K bent to 57 and 64/8 Callie at Torrey; unfortunately broke the hosel on the SM6 K grind.

    Update: 60-14K bent to 58 is back and works in a wide variety of conditions.
