  1. I’ve been looking at getting fit for the T150s. However, I’d like to get the heads in the black Titanium Carbide Vapor finish. Does anyone know when these will come available? TIA

I would also be interested in this finish for the new irons. Does anyone have an opinion on how it compares to the "Jet Black" as seen on the wedges in terms of wear?

I have the all black 2023 T200’s and the jet black SM9 wedges. The black titanium carbide definitely holds up much better than the coloring materials the wedges are made up of. I have 12 rounds in and the black bases of my wedges have all worn off and it’s now more of a polished dull silver. Whereas my irons didn’t wear that way. They’ve hold up quite nicely. The soles and outer faces are looking like they were the day I unboxed them. Even the center faces aren’t marked up or wearing off.

  5. Hi,

If they are a released it’s usually second year of product cycle and a limited edition release at that - why wait? They are brilliant clubs, get them now and seize the opportunity for a second set when/if they are released later
  6. We want black 150s!!!

Apparently Titleist uses the limited edition black heads to remind the market that Titleist is on a 2 year cycle. Otherwise all the press will be on the other guys’ new releases next year. All about creating buzz. Note in the “Best new clubs of 20xx” already only include the new releases, not the current model in the second year.

The titanium carbide black finish holds up great, I have the 2021 T200s with the TiCarbide finish on them and they really haven’t worn off.

In the recent video with Marni and Josh (www.youtube.com/watch, 19 minute mark - Marni says he is working more intently on a 'better' black finish that will be durable/sustainable.

It's coming, and willing to bet it'll be the best black finish on the market.
