  1. Hi, I recently purchased a U510 utility 4 iron and it has been amazing to hit. I was thinking of buying a 3i version but I noticed that there is only a 2 degree difference between the 3i and 4i. My question is around this difference, and would it provide a noticeable difference. I’ve been nailing the 4i and getting a great flight. Thanks.

The only true way to tell is to go for a fitting. Take your 4i with you and then you can compare.

Sorry if it’s not the answer you were looking for, but IMHO it is the only way.

When you look at “what’s in the bag” for pros, there is typically a guide for the expected distance for each club. So, are you trying to fill a specific gap? Is there a distance gap from the next club down from the 4 iron? A good fitter will help fill the distance numbers you need to fill.

If both driving irons are suitable, it might help to add loft to the 4 and deloft the 3. It is not common to have both
  4. I tried to do this with the png crossover, probably just me but i was not hitting the 3i as far as the 4i so went for a 5 wood instead

Well, it likely is you.... For Brian Q's benefit one or the other will be optimal, but often not both. That's why those of us blessed with club head speeds in the range of 90 mph can hit a 5W further than a 3W. And why Titleist is promoting mixed iron sets. Most of us have a point where there isn't enough speed to gain 5 mph ball speed with the next lower lofted iron of the same set.

The 3i will be 1/2 “ longer. So the stronger loft and additional length should result in the club being approx 15 yards longer.

I love my 4i U510, best club in my bag but I couldn’t hit the 3 U510 higher or farther so I go to TRS 7 wood after the U510. I wish Titleist made a 5 U510. Titleist anything you want to announce?
