  1. I have searched and tried a many different drivers but nothing compares to my 15 year old driver.

I am a teaching pro out of Mesa, AZ and I am always looking at the new model clubs, in a hope I will be able to upgrade my game with a new driver. After trying all the new drivers, none gave me the feeling of an “upgrade”, instead all felt hollow and lacking in feel.

I suppose my question would be, when do you believe you will come out with a driver that is comparable to the Old cally Octane. Searching for stability, feel and speed, not a hollow metal shell

The USGA standard hasn’t changed in 15 years, so all changes are to tweak out a little more forgiveness and ball speed.

Since the majority of us buying clubs “need al the help” we can get, not many are willing to buy into moving back, I don’t see any current OEM even doing a niche product.

There is the occasional mini-driver that may suit your tastes. Titleist has the TSR2+ fairway in that area.

Stenson used a Diablo 3W for years. Maybe your option is to get a couple of backup drivers. There are differences between company offerings. I like the feedback of a TSR driver when I hit an X on center. 2 other competitors with more carbon fiber definitely don’t give the same feedback.
  3. I also have tried many different drivers in the last few years, but have nothing that works better for me than the titleist 917 D3.
