  1. Good morning/ afternoon/ evening to all, I see that Scotty Cameron has an Authenticator process. Is this somthing you guys are doing when buying from a reputable 2nd hand source such as PGA superstore for a current model? Or is this somthing only really suggested if buying a vintage Scotty, or rarer one.

You should be able to trust the seller. PGA Superstore will guarantee authenticity. Other large resellers like 2nd Swing do, as well. Small home based resellers do not have the skill to validate and usually barely offer a guarantee.

If you can’t obtain a solid chain of custody or a rock solid guarantee, you can try the authentication. If the unit has been modified you may not be able to get a clear answer

If you are in the US and a deal shipped from outside the US is too good to be true, probably should report it to SC. The profit on a fake makes these popular to flood the market.
