T200 bag setup & Gapin

I play the T200 as well, 4 iron through 48 degree gap wedge, followed by 52 and 56 degree SM8's. I have a 58 degree SM8 I use only out of the sand (K grind has a lot of bounce and I can play the face square out of the sand if I want to).

On the long end of the bag, I still have not worked out the gaps. I have a 17 degree png hybrid and a 15 degree 3 wood. I feel like at some point I need to go to 16.5 degree 3 wood and then fill the gap between that and the 4 iron.

Are you playing without a driver? Cause that would make it 15 clubs right?

There is the option of adding loft to the FW5 to close the distance gap between it and the 4-iron. It might also mean adding loft to the FW3 to avoid a large gap between the 3 and 5. That is one of the nice things about adjustability! The other consideration is, what shots do you need for the course(s) you play most? If you need specific clubs for the par-3s, then build around the shots you need, first, then chase the gapping.

Scotty tei3 - vokey 56 vokey 52 - AP1 48 - t200 p-4 - ts3 hybrid - Ts2 driver. Biggest regret was not getting the 48 degree t200, I had been messing around with a 48 degree vokey but when it comes down to those full 48 degree shots I just didn’t like looking down at a vokey, ended up getting an AP1 48 as it was easier to grab than a t200

I have the 48 t200 and it is just gorgeous. I then go to 56 vokey which suits well for my game and course.

Just got my T200’s. 5 thru 48. I have the same set up except I use a TSi2 21 degree hybrid in place of a 4 iron. It goes higher and not quite as far as my TS2 5 wood.

So we know the clubs in the bag but we don't know the yardages for each. And as the clubs get longer, what is the carry vs. total yardage for each? Correct bag set-up is all about minimizing yardage gaps...there are many different ways to do that.

So yardage at the top of my bag is:
4i: 170-175m(187-192yds) carry
5W: 190-195m(208-214yds) carry

My consistency with the 5w is so much better than the 3w and I’m very accurate with my driver. So I’m leaning more into removing the 3w completly and have the 5w as my longst wood. Maybe I’ll even loft it down 0.75 to squeeze a little bit more yardage out of it.

I Actually just ordered a TSi2 FW7 (actually they called it FW6), but its std at 21 degrees anyway. I think that will fit nicely between my 4i and fw5.
It’s nice to have it for those high approach shots that are a bit harder with a 4i.

Btw, I don’t like hybrids at all. I often tend to hook them alot, whilst the Fairway woods give me a very controlled fade, which I love.
Only benefit with hybrids imho is from the rough.

I play T200 2019 version. 4-PW gapping is about 12 yds avg from 125-200. At 57 yrs old I don’t carry my driver more than 250yds with control if I try to get more out of it I am all over the place. I tend to play driver and FW with what ever I hit best. Driver png G410 44.5” - 5w png G425 225yds- 7w 915f 21* 210yds. Vokey custom wedges 50* 12f. - 117yds. - 54* 12D 108yds- 58* 6K never a full shot just a specialty wedge. I did play 48,52,56 wedge set up but found the 50,54,58 works better for my gapping from set PW to wedges. Who cares what the number says on the club it’s how it works for you. Some guys need 4 degrees separation some 6 and some guys can go higher depends on what your comfortable with.

I had my set of T200 4-gw bent 2 degrees weak through the set. Gaps are pretty much the same as my set of 714ap 2 now

T200s make it difficult to get wedges and even utility irons to make sense. Set aside my 20 degree srxn mk2 utility for a 5 wood and weakened the loft in the T200 PW to 44 (from 43). This worked well for me because I have always played 50, 56, 60 vokey wedges. Coming from T100 (just don’t have the mindset to play a blade anymore, getting older, want more forgiveness not necessarily distance, that’s why I switched to T200, so I don’t swing 115-120 with a driver anymore and my instead play around 105-108 with the driver, 94 with 4 iron, 88-90 with 6 iron, 84-85 with 9 iron, and take it easy these days.)

4-6 degree difference between 9 iron to 60 degree is fine as I still am within 12-15 yards between clubs.

It all really depends on you as an individual. You may want to get the T200 43 and 48 (P and W) and go 52 and 56/58. Or you may want to go 43, 48, 54, 58/60. As long as you’re not having 25+ yard gaps between lofts you’ll be fine.
