    I have the 913 D3 and while I was playing, It seemed that the screw that connects the shaft was loose in the head. Has this happened to anyone else?

    Did you adjust it yoursefl?  If you did, did you keep tightening with the tool until it clicked?  That would be the correct torque to apply.

    I didn't but is it possible to over tighten so that the notches buckle a little bit?

    Almost impossible you will overtighten the screw with the Titleist torque wrench. When it clicks, it has reached a certain amount of force and will keep clicking and not place any more force on the screw.

    I agree 100% Ken. Always use the Titleist Torque Wrench when adjusting the head. NEVER use any other wrench to adj. the head.

    I have experienced the screw on the shaft loosening with play.  I don't think this is all uncommon.  For me, it doesn't seem to be a regular thing but rather a gradual thing that happens over time.  With the torque on the club head (especially with a driver) this can tend to loosen a bit.  I just tighten the screw with the proper torque wrench every month or two to ensure it doesn't come loose.  I can generally feel a little movement with the screw but not enough that the head moves or becomes unseated.

    Hi Mike,
    The screw should not come loose.  Tighten the screw until you hear it click and it should be locked into place.  If it is not staying in place, the screw may be stripped.  Please take it to your local shop to confirm that it is a stripped screw and not something else.

    I have played a 910 for over 2 years now with no problems. I do losen and retorque the head after every 3 or 4 rounds, with the Titleist tool.

    Dean,

    You have to be very careful when adjusting the Sure-Fit screw. Make sure that when you tighten it, that it clicks. You want to hold the head in one hand while the shaft points down and the grip is resting on the floor. Anyways, here's a little video clip that explains everything perfectly.     Hello Dean

     

          I have had my driver now for at least 6 months and play 3 to 4 times a week and have not experienced this problem at all.. You should have someone take a look at it..

    I've had my 910D2 for about 8 months now and I've never had any problems with the screw coming loose. One thing I can say is when I first got it I went to adj. the head, and loosened the screw too much until it came out of the shaft. That was not a problem, but I did find out that the screw has a very fine thread, so I had a little trouble getting it started straight back into the shaft. You have to be careful if this happens and not try to force the screw in. It should thread in and out smoothly, and if it binds or get a little hard to thread in, you need to stop and back it out and start over until it goes in smooth all the way in until you hear the "click". NEVER, EVER force it in.
