I'll be back in the states this July 4th and I am going to be fit for a complete new set of Titleist clubs.  My problem is that I've sold my old 710s so I won't have any sticks.  I can borrow a set of clubs from our local pro but then I'd be buying the new model without swinging them.  Any news on if the new 714s are going to be significantly better than the 712s?  Any thoughts?

Unless the TT R&D has a word, most irons only have incremental improvment from model to model.  Since irons are mostly for accuracy and not as much for distance, if you try the 2012s at a fitting , and they work... they work.  If you needed a computer, would you buy one on returning or wait until the next models came out in 6 months?  By analogy, the next BMW may have 5 more HP and 5% better gas milage (but no one knows for sure), but are you willing to ride public transporation for 6 months?

I doubt a new set of 2014 irons will benefit you as much as working with 2012's fitted for you this year and beyond. If you haven't had opportunities to maintain your game, then you may want to wait until you get back into a grove. Guys with png I-2s can still bury me with their accuracy, and they are 4, soon to be 5 generations back.
