Ball mark vs distance from ball

  1. I am currently playing the Pro V1X and love the ball flight. However, and this maybe a stupid question, but when I hit ball from driver through wedges, my balls pitch mark is usually with in 6-8” of the ball. I am wondering is this possibly a ball issue and should be looking at the Pro V1 with lower spin or a swing issue (I understand hard to figure this part out without seeing the swing). Any ideas would be great.

The issue is your descent angle. Assuming your course conditions are drier than a bog. 35-40 degrees is preferable. Sounds like yours is much steeper. Pro-V1 is one alternative. Pro-V1x Left Dash is another.
If neither gets you more than a couple of feet of roll, then maybe you might get a fitting to see if you need lower flighted shafts. A Trackman or similar would be ideal to get launch, height, and descent angle.

Sounds like the ideal amount of spin for shots into the greens where you want to control your run out. You should still be able to learn how to hit a low non-spinner to get you some pitch and release to back pins. As for the driver, you may be using too much loft or just playing very soft fairways. You will see tour players on tv playing on rainy weeks where they do not get run out on their drives either. If this is an issue on dry fairways and your trajectory is very high, consider getting a lower lofted driver. You can certainly start playing ProV1 and see how you like it and if it gives you results closer to what you desire. Good luck with it.
