  1. What's going on with the Pro V1 Left Dot? Shows under Balls on the website, but not available, and haven't been able to find them anywhere on the internet.

Such a low production ball and did not go public until last year, I suspect the Ball Plant is busy cranking out the current backlog of 2023 ProV1 and ProV1x. Eventually they should get around to producing more or make the decision to go back to limiting them to tour only. Even some of the Left Dot tour players have switched to the new ProV1 because it now plays very similar. Guess we will just wait and see what happens.

…Nothing. There was a brief release I guess to judge reactions.

The ball wizards went to some length to point out much of what they learned with the left dot has been included in the 2023 Pro-V1. Is there enough of a market that will do more than just steal from the V.

It has been listed for a rather long time but the availability has been very limited. I sent out a feeler to Titleist chat line and this was their response to your question.

QUOTE MATTHEW J, TITLEIST CHAT LINE: "We haven't heard if or when it would ever come back, it might have just been for that limited time I'm sorry I don't have any more information for you that's the answer I get when I ask for myself as well."
  5. I spoke to Titleist a few weeks ago and they told me over the chat the Left Dot will be back with another limited release. i hope so because its the best ball ive ever played
  6. Will they send out a notification when they do? I just happen to get lucky on the last release, they sold out really quick.
  7. I know it was released limited wise a few years back from my research, but this version came up on the Titleist website the same time as the other new 2023 Pro V1 line, indicating a 2023 version. But why put it on the website if they dont intend to actually sell any to the public
  8. This version was listed on the Titleist the same time as the other new 2023 balls. My question is why put something on there, if not planning to sell to the public. Saw somewhere they are discontinuing the AVX, so maybe this is a Pro V1 replacement for the AVX, because it has similar feature.

Ha! I want to take credit for starting the rumor that the AVX was being removed to allow production of the Left Dot. But that was strictly in jest. There wasn’t a Left dash or dot in amber. There is an AVX in amber. I suspect that will be a reason to continue the AVX.
This site is monitored by the concierges but is left to the crazy supporters for posts. You won’t be getting anyone from marketing here to explain the company plans. We will only know what the strategy for the next iron releases is on the day of the official public announcements.
The dash and dot were developed more than one release ago. Apparently there may be an X+ ball in development for the pro’s. My guess (and nothing but a guess) is the research with the left dash X showed it could retain and/or acquire users considering other major OEM balls. If the feedback is that the left dot V would only impact AVX and Pro-V1 current sales, that would not be a good ROI to generate another line in the general market.
You won’t be getting an answer here on why it appears on the website. Until/unless you see a limited release on the dot, you might find the 2023 V suitable until then. I didn’t have both the dot and 2023 V to compare, but I am impressed with the new V in windy conditions. While the X is my primary ball, on really windy days, I’ll keep some V’s for then.
  10. I too was one of the lucky ones who got 2 dozen on the limited release. Went to buy more but no pro shops carry them. Asked titleist and it appears we can’t get them. Unless your willing to pay $150 per dozen on eBay. I’m hoping they come out with another release. I’m certain it’s just in my head but us golfers can be superstitious, I’ve played the best golf I’ve played with the left dot.

A few months ago, I was fit for the V1, it generated the best numbers for my game. The guy said “here, let’s just see what this does”. I thought it was the left dash but it was in fact the left dot. I was surprised by my numbers off the track man. It was performing better than the V1 by a long shot. I told him I’d take 2 dozen and he told me to search eBay. It sucks knowing there’s a ball that could be helping my game out there (I know not too much, but maybe a stroke or 2 per round) but, I can afford eBay prices for a “limited” ball. Maybe I’ll get lucky and get a dozen one day for retail price.

another limited release is coming according to the Titleist rep i spoke too.....stay tuned.

This is the best ball ive ever hit, so i am waiting patiently as well

  13. update to the post above. Just got off the phone with the Ball Department and they are limiting the LEFT DOT to the sales reps, professionals and specific fittings.....they have backtracked on another limited release because they feel the new prov1 has most of that technology incorporated.......the only real difference is the feel....the left dot remains slightly firmer feeling than the new prov1 but both have the same trajectory and core.....distance is relatively the same too so does it make sense to release it again? Probably not.....in fact the rep said they discontinued the left dot for the most part

Thanks for your update - sad to hear that, but hoping that the 2023 ProV1 will be a suitable replacement for me. I've struggled with spin issues with my irons even with the ProV1 in past generations, and am still working on my 2021s.

$150 for a dozen balls is insane. That is a serious mark up on price . If you have the money to burn then go for it. The 23 pro v1 is the best ball I have used , I have never used the left dot , have used the left dash and prefer the 23 V1 , the 23 V1x flies to high for me .
  16. It really stinks the left dot is so limited. I think the market would be far larger than LEFT DASH but fitting this into the current lineup seems tough.

I played both the 2023 prov1 and the left dot and to me the difference is pretty big. The feel is 100% different, the launch is lower for the left dot and distance is better by 5 yards on average. Sometimes the prov1 feels TOO soft.

When you compare the two balls from a visual standpoint, the dimple pattern is different. the left dot has slightly deeper dimples, the ball is painted differently and to be honest, im not sure how much "technology" was transferred over to the new prov1.......the number of dimples is different, the depth is different and the ball feel different......seems strange the talking points are "the balls are so close in technology"......i disagree......to me the balls are very different out on the course with the left dot winning by a large margin

I really liked the Left Dot for sure. I still have a sleeve of them & I'm afraid of using them! Hahaha! I don't want to lose them.
  18. Spoke to a rep today and she stated the left dot is coming back and to call my local pro so they can pre-order them for me.

Maybe if people that purchased the initial offering and didn't put on eBAY for hundreds maybe Titleist would have re-leased again earlier. I was advised that this is the reason Titleist hasn't reproduced this version on web site. Just a thought..

I would love to try these this go round. I'll have to check with my local shop to order.
  21. I wonder why Finau went back to the left dot from the new prov1
  22. Just ordered some left dots through the pro shop!!!

The Left Dot is the best ball on the planet. I was lucky enough to end up with several dozens, and there isn't a better ball in golf for my swing. I'm hopeful they release these in 2024 or 2025 to golf shops everywhere.

This is my hope as well. I loved this ball! If the demand is high, maybe Titleist will listen & bring it back? C'mon people ... speak up! Let it be known that you want the Left Dot.

We want the Left Dot! We want the Left Dot!
  26. Left dot is my favorite ball as well. Bring it back!!!!!
