    I remember when Left Dot ProV1's embargo and a select amount of folks received them to try, but they never released for retail. I was always interested and wanted to try them out, but does anyone know why they were never fully released?

    Probably because they were working to incorporate the characteristics into the new 2023 ProV1. Many of the pros that were playing left dot have switched to the new ProV1. If you liked Left Dot, try the new ProV1.

    Spot on. Listening to the podcast on development of the new balls, they mentioned some of the qualities of the Left Dot that they tried to incorporate in the new releases. I personally loved the Left Dot, but I'm fine with finishing up my last dozen Left Dot balls, then finishing my dozen Proto 388, then transitioning to the new ProV1. Great products! Sorry I won't be able to make it to your San Diego outing, Dale, but we'll catch up again sometime through the year.

    if the new v1 is even close to the left dot, ill buy 50 dzn...lol

    It has been a low volume item for a limited number of pros. Left dash has been highly popular. With supply shortages, even the Pro-V/X lines were I short supply.
    As productive capacity is (close?) to meeting demand, it might be closer to marketing.
    Or not. The 2023 version V incorporates concepts learned with the left dot. The differences may not be enough to warrant the separate run. If enough pros follow Ken Mitchell on switching from left dot to 2023 V, then it won’t.

    Good point, Dale. Don, left dash has been available and is still be shipped to accounts. My favorite shop has a good supply.

    Can confirm that I can purchase left dash on the Canadian website but not left dot. Perhaps coming soon.

    This is good news!

    I was hopeful that it would be included in the 3 and 1 deal as the Left Dash is included, but any sort of release will be welcomed! It’s still a great ball in my opinion.

    When is the left dot scheduled to be released again?

    Those who have said the '23 Pro V1 is essentially the same ball as left dot makes me question whether they have spent significant time with the left dot. From my experience, the left dot flies lower and spins significantly less off of the longer clubs. This has been verified on Trackman and on course testing as well.

    I played left dot most of last season and for my game, it's the best ball I've ever played. For those of us who need a lower flight with less spin in the longer clubs the left dot is a God send.

    Andrew, hopefully I did not mislead you to think the new ProV1 would be the same as the Left Dot. What we have learned is that it is closer to the Left Dot and many Left Dot players on tour have switched over. I am not sure that the limited demand will be decreased to the point that they discontinue it all together but if not, I can't imagine the production volume will increase so if it was hard to find in 2022, a new batch or new version will likely be just as hard to find. My take in it anyway.

    I haven’t seen details yet. Can anyone post? One club only listed Pro-V1 only.

    I expected the white V&X for 1-99, and 1-4 for yellow. Need confirmation if AVX and/or Left Dash will be included.

    2 clubs have indicated they are limited to 50 orders. Not expecting a lot of options..

    The Titleist account I purchase thru said that they are limited to 13 orders, this is based on what they sold last year.
    According to their emailed instructions, the only balls that they can order are as follows, beginning March 15th.

    Prov1 (choice of numbers)
    Prov1x (choice of numbers)
    Prov1x left dash (NO CHOICE OF NUMBER)
    AVX (choice of number)

    * Personalization - will be an additional $15 per order.
    ** Choice of play numbers - Play number must be 00, 1 to 9, or 10 to 99.

    Think this should answer everyone's questions. Only the premium balls.

    The Titleist ball designers at the TT official Pro-V release in La Quinta said much of what they developed in the left dot was incorporated in the 2023 V. Ken Mitchell gave testimonial as to why he switched to the V from the left dot. His play doesn’t seem to have suffered as a result.

    My take is there is less of a difference now so Titleist may not support marketing the left dot in the near term. It is reasonable to assume that there is not actual data by TT users that there is no difference.

    Titleist just posted in the Clubhouse that Tony Finau still plays the left dot in his video. Maybe that portends well for further marketing of the left dot.

    Or points to another problem with the USGA/R&A proposal. Adding up all the dots, dashes, and prior editions still in play by the pros, there won’t be a lot of smiles on the PGA Tour with only 1 or 2 options to choose from, by each ball company.
