Frequency matched shafts?

Is this the same as puring the shafts- im interested as well to hear the response.

As a company, Titleist hasn't promoted frequency matching or purring. By comparison, I've been using synthetic motor oils for 35 years. Did my engines run longer? So, if you want to leave nothing to chance, you can rebuild your clubs to use the technology. It's just not a service from Titleist.

Hi Bill, We have had this question come up from time to time. We don't frequency match shafts per se. We control the frequency by tightly controlling the components. In other words, raw shafts are checked for frequency when they arrive directly from our shaft OEM's to make sure they are within spec. We also tightly control the weight of the heads, grips and other components. When the club is built, we know that the finished build frequency will fall within our tolerance.
There are different ways to measure frequency and when trying to measure built club frequencies, there are many variables and these factors may produce different readings and some substantially different.
When we are talking about shaft frequencies, the only way to ensure a true frequency reading is to measure the raw shaft in its original state.
