How far in advance do I need to schedule a club fitting appointment at TPI in Carlsbad?
Cath D.Carlsbad, CA
Hi Henry, We have added availability to our Titleist Performance Institute calendar and you can find appointments available in 1-2 weeks. Here is some information on the fittings. We offer three separate fittings: Driver/Fairway, Hybrid/Irons and a Wedge fit that can be done individually or all together. Most players that come to our facilities are used to hitting balls and do all three together, but it depends on the player. Each fitting takes about an hour (or 3 hrs for the bag, minus putter). When the fitting is complete, we will email all the details of the fit to you and your pro (if you wish) and you can order your clubs at whatever shop that you choose. The fitting fee is a fitting fee only and does not go toward the purchase of clubs. Oceanside fits Monday through Friday at 9am or 1pm. The cost is $250 per individual fitting or $600 for all three and you can reserve your fitting appointment by calling 1-888-262-7202 and talking with Andy.
Cathi,
Thanks for your reply. Do you have a pricing sheet available if I opted to order my clubs at TPI?
Hi Henry, They are not able to take orders through Oceanside. We would send you the specification sheet via email so that you could order your clubs at your pro shop of choice. We can recommend places in this area if you are going to be here on vacation for an extended period of time and assist with expediting your order, though.

Great info Cathy and thanks for sharing!!

Hi Stephen, The last scheduled fits that will be conducted at Manchester Lane will be the week of October 11th. Due to weather, they anticipate closing after that, but if it turns out to be warm at that time, they would consider staying open for another week or two. But they won't know until that time. The pricing is the same for ML as it is for Oceanside and the process is the same as well. Contact Andy at 888-262-7202.

where is the nearest TPI from Baton Rouge LA?
I will be in Phoenix in two weeks is there one in the area?
thanks
Mike
Hi Mike, We have two Tour facilities in the country. One is at Oceanside, CA., and the other is in Massachusetts, so the closest to you when you visit Arizona is the one in Oceanside (about 5-6 hours by car)
As a follow-up, I completed my full club-fitting on Sept. 1 with Robert and I had a blast. Only one other person was getting a club-fitting (driver/fairway only) at the 9 a.m. time slot and it felt great to have the entire facility for my own. For the record, I'm run 4 miles and hit the gym daily, but the full club-fitting is a lot of work! As Robert noted, it's like playing two full rounds without any breaks in-between rounds, and the next day I was too sore to the course. The cool thing about the fitting is that you're hitting irons/hybrids that aren't even in the market yet, so it was cool to demo clubs that only the pros have access to now. Plus, you're hitting unblemished Titleist golf balls all day!!!
I received my spec sheet via e-mail and just ordered my driver, fairway wood, and Vokey wedges today, and will order the new irons/hybrids in early November.

This is so on my bucket list and I've already started a "fund" to save the money to make it happen. Love to hear from others about your experience and any details you can share.

Hi Cathi,
Would it be possible to contact Andy through e-mail? I'm currently in Asia, so it would be easier to communicate through the internet. Looking to get fitted for wedges at the Oceanside facility in October when I'm back in town.
Thanks!
John
Hi John, I have IM'd you his email address.
I received my custom fairway and Vokey wedges this past weekend ... less than four days after ordering them. The clubs are great, and I'm looking forward to completing my set with driver, hybrids, and irons.
Also, Andy has been great to communicate with, he's answered every question promptly and will seek the answer if he doesn't know it off hand. Great service, can't say enough of how great the experience has been.

Sounds like you had a great experience! I'm going on 10/7 and cannot wait! Any tips or advice?

Hi B.A.,
I have been twice to the Manchester Lane facility for all three options and it is an AWESOME experience! I always try to play a round the day before my fitting or as close to it as possible. Trying to get in a good night's sleep is almost impossible as all I can think of is making sure I do not oversleep, arrive late, etc. Since I have a decent drive to Manchester Lane, I stay overnight within a 1/2hr of drive time. A good breakfast is a must and they do keep you hydrated pretty well throughout the fitting! Like another post said, you will be more tired and sore from this fitting experience than you are playing 18! An open mind too in terms of shaft flexes has been key for me and my driver fitting last year I ended up in an up charge shaft (Graphite Design) and have never looked back! Worth every dollar!
Drink a nice Dunkin Donuts coffee on the drive, crank the tunes or listen to the Golf Channel and ENJOY! I cannot wait to hear all about it!
