Hi. I deloft my Irons to much at set up...:) Will I gain from adding loft to my irons (+2) to get the bounce more in play..?

Hi Kristian,
If you currently de loft your irons and it produces a ball flight that is too low, then adding loft to your irons could help. In addition, the 2 degrees of added bounce created by weakening your irons could help if you have a tendency to hit your iron shots heavy.
Hope this helps.
Bubba
Thank you for your answer.
I'll give it a try...:)

You say you deloft at setup, but how much do you actually deloft at impact? Really, you can do just about whatever you want at setup - it all boils down to impact. I'd get on a launch monitor and look at AoA to see how much you're actually coming down on the ball.
You could just as easily be delofting at setup, but bottoming out too early on the swing and catching your shots a bit thin at impact.
Too address your question more directly though... If you're striking it pure, but find the ball flight is low, then changing loft could help or perhaps even a change in shaft (loft would be cheaper to change obviously).
Thank you.
Launch monitor is a god idea. And yes, I will pick another shaft next time.
But many Pros now days tell you that the old style chipping, leaning your shaft forward, takes the leading edge too much into play. When leaning the shaft forward at setup at normal Iron play, the same problem might happen. I take the leading edge too much into play, making the game more difficult. If that's true, maybe adding loft gives me more bounce and easier play..:)

I get what you're saying. The difference is the ease with which you can maintain forward shaft lean in a chip/pitch shot vs a full swing - which is much more difficult. Launch monitor data or a video analysis would be a good way to check what's really going on before messing with club dynamics (IMO). Better to know exactly what's going on before spending the money to make an equipment change.
If you're dead set on changing loft, you could just do one or two clubs that you're familiar with (i.e. use often, swing, well, and know the ball flight for) and just change the loft on those to see if that does in fact help before doing the whole set.
