I just bought a new X5 dual balance, 38 in. Its too long - what are my options? I build and reshaft and regrip my own clubs. Can I but a cameron x5 grip? and replace and cut 2 in and put on new grip? What about the weight? Can I use existing one?

The duel balance putters are designed to be long and you grip down, not at the end of the grip. I have not heard of one less than 38". As far as changing the length I would recommend you send it back to Scotty to have that done. Getting the right balance would be tricky.

Cutting down and purchasing/installing a new SC DB Grip is not a problem...have done it multiple times with ease. I agree with NC Bob about getting the weight right though...playing with various weights, assuming you have them, is always fun!
Thanks - I have already ordered a new grip from Titleist, just wanted to know if I could use old weight - do have some others. Probably only need to shorten it 1 in. so may just go with 50 g again
Thanks for the quick reply
