Starting May 4th courses can open with restrictions. I don't think most can be ready by then.

Our courses here in Ontario will be allowed to start preparing for opening as of May 4th. The actual opening date is still up in the air. The courses have been allowed to mow and fertilize as long as they stuck to the basic needs to keep the course in shape. As of Monday, they will be allowed to start working on other things like tree trimming and bunker work, etc...
Fingers crossed they will be open before the end of the month :)

Some of the courses have opened up this weekend here in the Calgary area. Tee sheets filled up within an hour at some courses. Everyone is excited to play! Individual carts for those who want them unless you are in the same household. I have been fortunate that I have not been isolated and have managed to keep working as well as my wife. I have friends that are going a little stir crazy with the isolation so it will be good for them to get out. As long as everyone respects social distancing then the courses should be able to stay open and we can all enjoy the sport we love. We are lucky here in Ab. as we will not really lose any of our season.

    Stay safe everyone. Play well.

I played 9 at the Golf Canada centre and snuck in a round at Elbow Springs on Tuesday. Man, is it ever good to be back out!

It will be interesting to see if the new owners put more money into the Golf Canada centre par 3.

i played today (may 2). they aren't running as many tee times and the course i played had raised cups.

    playing again on monday.

it's going to be chaos for a while though i suspect. good news in edmonton is this winter seems to have been pretty friendly on the courses. sandpiper greens were excellent given the time of year.
