If I recall, the wedge fittings are outdoors only. Is that still the case? I'm thinking of planning a visit for the SM6s.

I cannot speak to whether they would do wedge fittings indoors or not, but in my humble opinion I would not rely on a fitting done on a mat for my wedges. It is one thing to do an indoor fitting for a driver when you are hitting off a tee, but wedges are completely different. Of all the clubs in my bag, the wedge is the one that is most susceptible to improper selection of bounce. Without being able to see how much (or little) the wedge digs into the turf and how large a divot one takes, I would find it hard to understand how one could properly fit a wedge. Hitting off a mat simply cannot give one the same feedback as one would get off of real turf. I would certainly suggest waiting until you can do the fitting outdoors.
Mitch ? What are your thoughts on this ?

    Hi Mark,

At our National Fitting Centre, 99% of our fittings are performed outside. For inclement weather, we have a covered hitting bay. So weather permitting, we will be outside if you decided to visit us.
For 2016, we will have the only SM6 SureFit system in the country. This allows us to interchange shafts and adjusted for loft/lie in just seconds.
We hope to see you this season!

    Thanks,

    Chris

I'm planning on a wedge fitting this spring. I'm also going to wait until I can hit from the grass for all the reasons Darius outlined above.
