Thought you might enjoy some more wildlife pictures I have taken.

Great Blue Heron at the pond on hole 18 at Royalwood... we have liftoff.

A photo of an eagle in a tree on hole number 3 at Royalwood.

Eagle rebuilding his nest after a windstorm last month, hole number 8, at Royalwood.

More work on the nest on hole number 8.

These are just a few of the many photos I have taken at Royalwood during my rounds of golf there.

I hope you enjoy my efforts.  Have a great day.

Wow Kris those photos are amazing! The timing of them. So cool. We have some great wildlife at our course but a cell phone camera cant do what you've shown here. What a great share. James G

Hi James, thanks for the kind comments.  Yes, I remember a couple of years ago seeing an eagle pair playing in the pond at my golf course.  All I had at the time was a cell phone and I was not able to properly capture this maybe once in a lifetime opportunity to get a great picture.  My brother came to my rescue setting me up with a Nikon 1 V2 with 70 - 300mm lens and now I also have a Nikon D7200 with Sigma 150 - 600mm lens that are always with me in my power cart while golfing.  My brother also does the processing of the raw photos for me... couldn't get the results I do without his help.

I have been lucky enough to capture some rare wildlife which have frequented our course.  We had a Great Egret, a bird usually found much farther south, visit our course for a little over a week in August.  Our resident Great Blue Heron certainly was upset that another bird was eating some of his tasty meals but... it did give me an opportunity to photograph a very beautiful bird who we may never see again in this part of the world.  See below some of my favourite Great Egret photos from Royalwood.
