I applied to be a titleist golf ball tester and it appears as though we are not having any balls tested in Canada. I think I should be a golf ball tester that is testing in Canada. There are a lot of pro v's played in Canada.

Hi Paul,Thanks for your note. Worry not, as Canadians here at the Titleist Canada HQ, we also know that many Pro V1's are played here in Canada each year. That is why we have sent test balls out here in Canada in years past. Your long time fellow Team Titleist Members can let you know as such on this thread. With that said, we target Team Titleist Members based on the golf ball they play vs the characteristics of the one we're looking to test. For example, if we're looking to test a DT-like golf ball, we're not necessarily going to send those test balls to Pro V1 players. This is how we achieve useful data after collecting feedback. Also, as of right now, we do not segment our Test Panel here in Canada like the US does south of the border. We simply target the most active members (profile completion, interaction in discussion forums etc) and quietly send the test balls to their door step along with instructions on how to provide feedback.
So in short, if your profile information is complete and your active in the Team Titleist Forums, you 'should' see test product arrive in the future. That said, keep in mind again that the test panel is chosen based on multiple criteria in your profile information...such as, what golf ball you play. Thus, not EVERYONE will receive test balls each time we send them out.Hopefully this helps to provide some insight into how we conduct our Test Ball distribution. All the best,Mitch DTeam Titleist Canada

So just to be clear there is no application?
They are just sent to Titleist Members who seem to be best fit to test the specific ball being tested?
Thanks
Hi Michael,Thanks for the note.Members are chosen based on the ball type that they play along with % of profile completion and interaction in the blogs and discussion forums. This is the same way the US chose their test panel up until recent. Now it is a segregated list of Members who have actively opted in to be part of the Test Panel. We are exploring that same idea here in Canada in the future.Best thing to do is to ensure your profile is complete and you're staying active in the Discussion Forums. ; )Cheers,Mitch DTeam Titleist Canada

Hi Mitch,
I realize that I haven't posted much lately... so just trying to stay active on the forums!!! ;)
Seriously, though, I was one of the lucky ones who was selected to test the 2015 model Pro-V1 last fall (I had the red number test balls, so I assume it was the Pro-V1x). I considered it an honour, and played as many rounds as I could until all three balls met a watery grave.
I very much enjoyed the experience, and hope my feedback was useful. I hope to be able to participate again in the future.
Regards,

I was one of the fortunate ones who got to test a sleeve of balls. It was actually fun, as each of us used a different method to compare the test balls against what we normally play. Because there was no specific script to follow, I believe that Titleist ended up with some very good feedback. It may have been difficult to parse the data for the research team, but in the end they will have received feedback that is more directly related to how the general public perceives their golf balls should perform in their day to day play. Each one of us is different, and each one of us will "feel" something different.
It was truly interesting to read all the different reviews on the forum as the responses came in.
It was nice to see Titleist make use of their forum members to do some testing. I have little doubt any one of us will gladly help out again if given the chance.
