Indoor or Outdoor?

    Simple question guys.  When you get fit for new clubs what do you prefer?  Indoors with launch monitors and cameras?  Or outdoor where you can see ball flight?

    I'd prefer to get fitted outdoors as it would give me a better feel for being on the course. Being able to see how the flight is and how I work my shots is key.

    I feel an ideal fitting environment would need to be outdoors, with a launch monitor, a knowledgeable fitter, and premium golf balls. There is information that can be gained indoors, but nothing quite beats observing what the ball is doing in flight.

    Totally agree but I might just add, especially for an iron fitting, having the opportunity to hit from real grass that is kept in the same condition as the golf course so that you can see how the club reacts through impact. Too often, fitting are done though hitting bays where you still hit from mats...
