I currently use a set of 710 MB's which I love. I don't get to play as often as I'd like to, so I've been toying with the idea of buying the AP2 712's, for a bit more forgiveness. I was in my local Drummond Golf store recently and noticed there was a label on them saying that they were assembled in China.

Is there any story behind that? Even though I would never consider buying a set on ebay, particularly if the seller was based in China, does this not open Titleist up to greater risk of their goods being counterfeited?

I've always thought we paid a premium here on Titleist gear because it was made in the good old US of A. I'd much rather pay top dollar for the security of knowing what I was getting was safe from knock offs, but the thought of these being put together in China makes me reconsider.

    regards,

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

Titleist Golf Clubs are commissioned to be assembled on a number of assembly lines globally.  A set of irons assembled in China is manufactured to the same exacting tolerances as a set of irons manufactured from any of our other assembly lines, be it in Australia, the US, Europe, Korea or elsewhere.  Purchasing from a Titleist Authorised Retailer (such as Drummond Golf) guarantees you are buying authentic Titleist product.

    Regards

    Dave
